On the Bosch Smart System, if you swap out the display for the SmartPhone Grip (around 50USD) then you get either wired OR wireless phone charing. Easy to swap out.
You'r comment on the lock looks well thought but the (Dutch) experience is that when you can move the key from the open lock, It can also fall out (with your door-key on it :) while riding and this current set up never makes you never leave the bike unlocked when you leave it. and final; having a couple of key's on it, is no problem. You think it is, but it is not.
Id love one of these one day as an upgrade to my rad runner which i do love. On the surface totally different bikes but actually very similar in many ways. 4 grand is a lot for me though, im not sure i i could really ever justify it 😁 ill have to think of a way
I hope you're able to get one! I agree, they are nice bikes. Both the RadRunner and many of the Gazelle step-thru models are approachable and fun to ride :D
Yeah! I’ve always been a fan of the Performance Line motor, and the new Smart System version is the best of all worlds. Lighter and smaller than some of the older generations.
Default system on Bosch systems. Simple to maintain for daily commute and grocery runs. Nothing fancier because this is dutch bike for Dutch users, many of whomst are very very old
That’s the older design, and possibly the easier one to implement. Newer bikes have the sensor and magnet placed near the hub, sometimes mounted to the disc brake rotor area. For a mostly-city bike, it’s not the end of the world, but this is one area where the design seems a bit outdated to me.
@@ElectricBikeReview Thanks Court; I've watched every video you've produced in the last couple years. You do a fantastic job: I find I look at bikes now through your critical eye: "oh, I prefer to see a chain slap guard there..."
Love the belt drive. Decent city bike.

How do you service the 5 speed hub. You can't get fresh lubricant into it from an oil hole unlike the old SA hubs.
Fantastic bike with 75Nm.

It it a peddle assist class 1?
Yes! Arroyos are class 1.
I have looked at these bikes before but what's up with the spoke speed sensor. I wouldn't buy it because of that alone.
