hey guys..first of all it sure is nice to have the proper tools..and a well equipped heated garage....and how did Shawn become such a Lada expert? not like there is a plethora of these cars in use...and..have you guys considered doing a tutorial on rust proofing or doing rust preventive applications to this car and your other vehicles since we all live in the great White Northern areas where salt is liberally applied..or is at least here in NY...love the production values on your videos..they are improving..keep up the good work...

If you need to do this job on a right hand drive Riva, you will have to remove the exhaust downpipe and starter motor.

Vocês não estão ligados no quanto os seus vídeos me ajudam aqui no Brazil.
A lada só vendeu entre 1990/1995
E os mecânicos são foda, não gostam de mexer nesses carros e ainda falam que é tudo lixo, quando chego pra fazer um orçamento os caras logo vem com um preço astronômico só pra não pegar o serviço.
E eu adoro o carro só por causa da tração traseira que é bem raro em carro pequenos ou médios por aqui.....
Enfim
Melhor canal de lada do mundo na Rússia pode até ter melhor, mas pelo menos os seus eu entendo algo do que dizem...

you should swap it for fiat 124 steering box. different bearings, different ratio, makes for lighter seering

Would love to know if the internals of rhd and lhd steering boxes are the same .

leaking is solved by filing the steering box with mix of grease and oil.

What?.. The oil will eventualy delute the grease and will still leak but slower.. So don't use grease but use sawdust instead for a more traditional repair.
