WOW! Gutta love how the American trucks look. The best 😎 But,,, a bit dissapointed about the interior, and how old and quite boring it looks, and what’s up with the cheap plastic all over? Like the trays in the cabinet? Check out any one of the euro trucks (Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, Renault etc). They are awesome on comfort and interior, and overall build quality and solutions. But love how this truck is so true to the traditional longnose style 👍
Super nice truck, but why wouldn't you want the 78" bunk with such a long frame? Rear window doesn't really make a difference. I'd pick more comfort over looking longer 😂
I know this is an older video but still relevant, and I'm not going to go off of what Peterbilt calls their sleepers now.. I guess now they think they can just lie about their measurements like Kenworth has been doing, they are still the 63" and the 70" because that's what they ACTUALLY are. it's personal preference, a lot of people like the interior layout of the 63 inch bunk a lot better than the 70, the cabinet layout is different and like he said you can't get a door anymore on the 70 or a rear window, and fun fact.. they're actually a little bit taller on the inside.. and almost everybody agrees the 63" bunks look better than the 70". That kind of goes along with there's really no reason to have a stretch wheelbase other than it looks better and it does ride a little better but it's mostly just for looks.
So the Cummins is basically the only choice in new Class 8 trucks today? Seems like Volvo and Mack make their own motor? If so, do they not sell to Paccar and the other builders?
Hi Steve,! Did you know Peterbilt sell the panel where the smart nav. Cause mine is Brocken the screen And I wanna replace it with the full gauge panel I hope you can help me with and answer Thanks brother Good day
@@SteveCarbone Any chance you can include the price range for these 389 builds you do? It would be nice to have an idea of the mileage these beauties can do.
I just hate how people are so lazy that they can’t tape off the airbags. Why would you paint over top of them they look like shit and now you can see already the paint flaking off of the airbags and it hasn’t even left the lot yet. Takes just a few minutes to wrap some paper around them and it makes a huge difference in quality and looks. It’s just pure laziness. But besides that it’s a beautiful truck
I'm working at the DAF factory at the moment here in the UK (Paccar). They mask the bags before chassis paint. In practice it probably makes no difference, but cosmetically it does.

I want to see a video on the Baby Blue Pete by the fence line 1:28
Is it time for a Cummins X16 625, 650, 675hp?
YES
Is this just wishful thinking or something is in the works?
@@ALEX_SWFL just putting a bug in someone's ear. Hopefully someone catches on. There is a huge demand for such a platform.
Let's get some more TQ. There's times when 2050 just doesn't cut it. 2500 would be nice
@@SteveCarbone I agree but it won't happen under this administration unless they find a work around
Very nice dude

Did I see Rhino liner please confirm under the front fenders did I see Rhino liners under the front fenders.
😍❗️
Does the 389 come in a short hood,or would I need to go to a 388 instead 🤔?
They don’t make 388’s anymore
@@bambam6053 that sucks
If you want a short hood, the 567 is it..
You would need the 389-123 instead of the 389-131
Is that blue truck at 7:44 for sale

it all comes off in the first 1000 miles and if you saw the assembly/paint process it would make more sense why they do what they do.

Good looking truck! But powered by by water it's a peace of crap
