This was cute and all lol but I can't help but laugh when you say the sponsor is local cheese! I've been watching various YT channels for years and the sponsors are always like SquareSpace, Tarte Cosmetics, Loot Crate, Hello Fresh, etc. (those sponsors are catered to the channel but you get the point) and you guys are like Cheese! Definitely a first from what I've seen lol Did they reach out to you or did you reach out to them?

Amberlynn Pope I am so done with these obsessed vegans. Do non-vegans push non-vegan products down your throat, ever??? No. Then why are you so crazy about it like this everywhere? It's cheese for god's sake. Something humans have been producing for very very long. There is nothing wrong with them partnering with a dairy company. Obviously they're not vegans themselves. You can't expect everyone to go vegan just because it seems to be the right thing to do in your opinion. It's called respect. Thank you.

Okay, so I don't normally comment, but I just want to address something. As someone who lives on a beef farm and is surrounded by Canadian dairy farms, I want to just say that cattle farmers are some of the most caring, hardworking, compassionate, and driven people you will ever meet. Now, I'm not saying that the industry is perfect. Factory farms are a growing issue when it comes to the humane treatment of animals, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. However, the relentless attack on members of the rural community based on information many people get from their research on the internet is ridiculous. A quick Google search is not going to give you a realistic view of this industry. I don't want to discredit anyone or their beliefs, I just want to say that there are good people that truly care about their cattle. Its not just a business, it's a way of life, so please remember to keep an open mind. That aside, great diys as always!
Paulina W. it's not exactly the treatment I think, dairy farmers can be perfectly nice people but the whole idea is a bit whack don't you think? Human beings meant to run on the milk of a cow which is intended for its calf? It's filled with hormones and there are plenty other ways to get nutrients than separating a calf from its mother. You do you I just wanted to state a viewpoint here 😊
Maddy Limee I totally see where you're coming from. Honestly humans in general are pretty whack (which is why I prefer surrounding myself with cows in the first place), but we use animals all the time. It seems pretty sad at first, but it's really not as bad as some people say. They might miss each other for a few days, but they're still animals, so they forget pretty quickly. Still though, valid point.
Maddy - so your theory is that humans were not meant to drink cows milk..... but they were made to drink milk made from blended nuts and beans instead? Come on.
Soy and nut milks only exist as an alternative because we grow up being used to cows' milk. Cows make milk for their babies, just like humans and any other mammal does. So yes, we are supposed to eat plants and things made from them but adult humans aren't meant to breastfeed.

Yep, plastic bags or if you want to minimize waste, wrap them in towels. That's what I would if the picnic included a bumpy bikeride anyway. :)

Look. If you're a vegan, great. No one here gives a shit. You do you, boo-boo, but don't give Kelsey and Becky a hard time because the Dairy Farmers of Canada sponsored them. Ice cream is awesome. Cheese is awesome. Cheesecake is awesome. Creme brûlée is awesome. A nice big glass of cold chocolate milk to dunk your Oreos in is *fucking* awesome.
I get sick and tired of people feeling the need to inject their politics into situations where it's not warranted. If Kelsey and Becky started the video out by saying vegans were assholes and proceeded to force a vegan to eat a gallon of Breyer's Cookies n' Cream, you'd have a point. Since they didn't do that, knock it off.

It's about ethics and to let someone know that their sponsor has unethical business practices may not be wanted but it's important to people who may be frustrated by the situation. I don't think it's an inappropriate topic.
I understand that for vegans it's a moral issue. I wasn't disputing that. However, assuming that all dairy farms operate the same way, whether in the United States or outside of it is ignorant, and giving Kelsey and Becky crap for a sponsorship is, to me, obnoxious. Not to mention, they didn't make any kind of political statement or value judgement by taking the sponsorship. They weren't giving the finger to vegans or people who are lactose-intolerant.

I don't get the problem, here. Do you not think people should be able to express that? Also, vegans don't care if it's the nicest dairy in the world or if you're milking the cows yourself- that's really not the point at all (it's about exploitation, mostly). A ton of vegan youtubers are Canadian, too, so if you want to learn about the Canadian dairy industry it's actually pretty accessible!

The belt idea was really clever because it makes it easily adjustable especially if you add more holes to the belt so if something you decide to use in another picnic isn't exactly the same size as what you originally used you can adjust accordingly. Elastic might be able to do that but only if it's bigger not if it's smaller.

To everyone talking about how dairy is murder: before you talk about ethics, think about the children that had to make your clothes and electronics in horrible working conditions with next to no pay, or the underpaid farmers who harvest your imported grains. You all care about animal rights but don't give a shit about people in third world countries, and if you truly wanted to convert people to your way of thinking when it comes to dairy, how about you do it in a respectful, non-condescending way, because I can't hear you from where you sitting all the way up on that high horse.

I think about both - but just because you're doing one good thing doesn't oblige anyone to live a totally, 100% ethical life, it's not an all or nothing.
One wrong does not invalidate another wrong. I make all my own clothes out of recycled, or thrifted products, only buy things thrifted, and volunteer helping victims of trafficking, and I still think vegans have a right to point out when the farming industry is unethical. But while you are on your own high-horse, clearly thinking you know better than everyone else, what do you do to make the world a better place?

Last Tuesday I found your account and decided to watch every video. I commented on that first video with the time and date.
AND TODAY I HAVE FINISHED
Today, Tuesday the 1st of August 2017, at 3:29pm AEST, I have finally finished watching every video on this channel (I haven't started the vlogs yet but I'll get there). This includes the 1.5 hour live stream where you guys wrap presents. Which on the wrapping presents thing, PLEASE do a system next time. I love wrapping, always wrap my families presents but you guys wrapped like 5 presents in 90 minutes. I suggest writing out a quick little list of names of gift recipients, bulk wrap your presents (as in JUST the paper) one after another, piling them up as you go and then at the end decorate in bulk too. Saves a lot of time and also helps you know if you need to go buy more supplies or even presents.
Love the suitcase idea.. Still watching in 2021!
