@45:24 before phase 2 of the boss he has doppelganger in hand and an energy potion, while talking about how he needs to draw doppelganger in phase 2. Could have just played it then and let the poison kill phase 1 xD
I think alchemize sacred bark is pretty sick throughout the ascensions. Double potions are usually very relevant, and the right 2 or 3 can straight up win the final boss a lot of times, or at least put you in a much better position.
I mean - just having an upgraded doubleganger + chemical x means even if you use all ur energy, you can play it to get +3 card draw and +3 energy next turn, which is pretty freaking nice if you ask me :D
Like endles agony swapping for a strike? Amazing! It does 2 more damage and you get rid of it for the rest of the fight and you can draw your good cards.

both pandora's box and snecko eye have variance between them, yes. However, the average result of snecko eye is usually good, and the average result of pandora's box is almost always better. Getting a disaster roll for either of them can mean the end of your run. The difference? Snecko eye allows you a chance of getting that disaster roll like ten times per run (if we're only counting turns where enemies are going to hit you with a nuke) and pandora's box only risks that chance once. The law of numbers dictates that snecko eye will screw you over more often than pandora's box will.
@@williammitchell6254 yeah, that’s the disaster roll. But let’s be honest. How many cards are there that you would be less happy to have than a basic strike or defend?
