Drink water only during fasting days. If you drink other liquid will make you feel very hungry. The first 2 to 3 days are hardest. Just after 3 days you don't feel hungry with water only.
They are all pretty much the same points I came away with after my 40 day fast last year. I had done multiple 3 and 7 day fasts, and a 21 day, but I found the 40 day to be the hardest to stick to near the end... As soon as I started counting down it got hard! But, although I slipped a couple of times (gluttony was breaking off me at the time... It's gone, PTL), I honoured the commitment finished (despite the devil telling me there was no point after slipping). I also felt the Lord tell me early on that my prayers were answered, which was beautiful. Some manifested at the time, some are still waiting to be seen in the natural, but I know that they are answered!
You are blessed to achieve your commitment. Not by power but by the spirit of of God. I have leaned that with God all things are possible. Remove your eyes on things you love and focus on Jesus and his word.

Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
That's great and very inspiring. You seem more vibrant and genuine, as though God's glory is shimmering off you, and makes you look and seem very genuine and full of God and very different from fake feeling I often get watching UA-cam videos. I tried a 40 day fast once and though imperfect, I stuck it out and demons were manifesting and coming out in the following months(edit: in other people, not me). I hope to do a more perfect 40 fast like you soon. Thanks for your inspiration. Just curious, have you tried casting out demons after fasting, that it was much easier?

I hopefully will get an Answer. For some reason God or something is telling me to fast very strictly, I thought about Daniels fast and any other but I get an uneasy, wrong feeling… and I try my best to do it, in two days I only ate three cherry tomatoes, I have grown very weak, my head hurts, my stomach hurts and I don’t wanna give up.. but its painful.. I am 17, I never followed God like I was supposed to and when I felt him no more, then I grew scared, now I wanna get closer to him and do as he says.. I am gonna push through but Im wondering if this voice that is telling me not to eat at all God or something else that wishes me sick. Fasting is supposed to be about praying more and being more productive, I quit dance, I quit social media ( only youtube to watch videos that educate me about Christianity and God ) Ive stopped listening to music, I stopped watching movies and I stopped eating. I gave up everything easily but not eating at all causes me not to be able to focus, I can’t read bible nor pray much because Im drained without food and tired, my head hurts and instead of being excited about getting closer to God, I dread the 40 days to end because Im suffering… I understand its what fasting is about and if it doesn’t hurt then it has no purpose.. I just need to know that It will get better or feel Right. Unfortunately way before I started to educate myself about my religion, I planned a trip, to see my long not seen friend and we’d go to the concert and eat… I planned on asking father at my church if it was okey and after concert I would go to church and ask for forgiveness.. should I really do it for 40 days? God has been silent with me and I don’t know what to do, I pray, I read bible, I have so much faith and I believe this will fill me with holy spirit but will me feeling weak get worse? Will me cheating be wrong? Is me not eating AT ALL truly how I should do it.. I need guidance and im confused :(
Hie mate im doing the fast im on day 29 today i sometimes drink warm water or blackberry juice(mazoe) from the start i just told myself i will drink liquids be it juice or water but i find most of the time when i drink something not water i feel un easy worse than the days I go on water only. I have lost some weight yes it’s painful like I’m working 5days a week I’m training to drive buses so I drive 4 hours in the morning then do some theory in the afternoon at home I have 2kids who needs attention like giving them food and all but it’s the determination that keeps me going , so yes you can do it it is GOD telling you on our own we do not have the ability to ‘want’ to do good so if you feel that that’s how ‘sometimes’ the HOLYSPIRIT speaks I just thought I can encourage you mate I’m having dreams almost everyday were I can clearly see that I’m at war with the evil and at the same time I get some instructions in those dreams were you see it is the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT so please give it a try GOD will see you thru

I do with lemon and water. But going for 21 not 40. Day 5 i think about all dishes with cheese😅
