I love Ticket to Ride, and I love this series as well (the previous one was London/Berlin). I agree with you that folks with Analysis Paralysis are maybe not the best people to introduce this game to. I haven't played the Paris side yet, but I can see your point about depriving someone of points instead of building something that will give you only a few points by the end of the game. It's worth noting that the Kickstarter versions game with a Solo mode too, which is really clever and easy to play, it's worth looking up. For me at least, this series is near and dear to my heart.... but that's probably because I love metros and metro maps oh so very much, ha!
