This song for me through a very rough time in my life. It's so hard being in this type of relationship. But this song helped me learn my own worth. She is such an amazing singer!!
You would really enjoy Martina McBride's live performance of "Where Would You Be". She appeared at a CMA Awards show and performed "Where Would You Be" and then accepted something like five or six awards..... but that performance let's you see her at her best and giving a "master's class" in how to belt....
I saw her in concert at a nearby county fair and she hit those notes just like that. I love it when an artist can sound just as good live as they do on the record.
Same. Had the pleasure of seeing Martina live either three or four times. I remember being at a big country festival the year after 9/11 and the crowd going crazy singing along with the chorus of Independence Day. Thanks for reminding me of that 😁
🌬️ ... yeah Saeed .. yes indeed. Martina delivers every single time. You want to really feel it .. find one of her live performances from the CMAs ( Country Music Awards ) or another show. She is a legend. 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
I think you and I had simular childhoods. Its rough being a child and growing up with abuse and being degraded. It also takes strength to "fly with our broken wings" and look at us now, we made it to become great adults. Martina sings her songs with so much emotion. Thanks for your reactions.
In My Daughter's Eyes is a BEAUTIFUL ballad that you'd love. When God Fearing Women Get the Blues shows off her humorous side - no drama - lol. Cheers from Ontario, Canada! :)
I know you've already reacted to "Independence Day", but you should also see her performance of this song with Pat Benatar -- 2 women with extraordinarily powerful voices! This was a live performance on a show called "CMT Crossroads", which paired up a rock/pop singer with a country singer.
Fantastic reaction! I won a karaoke 🎤 contest singing this back in the early 2000s! Martina has one of the greatest voices of all time! I don't know if you've checked it out yet but "Anyway" & "That's Me" are are couple more of my favorite songs she sings!!
Check out “where would you be”- but watch her live performance. It will literally take your breath away. Never mind- just realized you already did that one 🤣
She's a great belter. And that's about it. There's little nuance to her singing. Her voice is not distinct - she is not one of the great vocalists. Wynonna Judd has more power, nuance, colour, tone and beauty to her voice.
@@dianemurphy3568 Fine. Disagreeing makes the world go round. Burt Bacharach was not inviting Marina McBride to sing his songs, as he did with Wynonna. Tony Bennett was not recording duets with Martina - as he did with Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood. Martina's voice is loud. She can belt. Has pretty eyes. The end.
Martina absolutely has one of the BEST voices in country music. She has plenty of nuance to her voice. Whether she's singing soft and delicate in Concrete Angel, hitting the money notes in Independence Day, OR showing her humorous side in God Fearing Woen Get the Blues - she ALWAYS makes you feel SOMETHING. Happy, sad, angry, or heartbroken. She FEELS the emotions in her music - and makes her fans feel it too.
@@jeannieschmidt2217 OK. Burt Bacharach did not invite McBride to sing his complex and very difficult songs - as he did with Wynonna. And what a beautiful job she did. Tony Bennett did not request to record a duet with Martina, as he did with Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood. Martina *is* loud and soft. Well that's just about everyone. There is not much distinction between her vocal qualities. IN fact she often sounded kind of pinched *and* LOUD. She had a BIG voice and pretty eyes. 😍
@@TombCat I'm not sure I understand what Burt Bacharach and Tony Bennett have to do with the EMOTIONS that Martina evokes in FANS when listening to her very powerful and meaningful music. About domestic violence and child abuse. Music is about so much MORE than just having a good voice and hitting the notes. And it's NOT a competition. Wynona, Faith, Carrie, AND Martina are ALL incredible artists. And likely very SUPPORTIVE of each other.
Such a beautiful strong voice 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
This vocal is stellar

My cousin James House wrote this song along with 2 others.. beautiful song
I’m not a big Martina McBride fan. But the song is spectacular. And she brings it
❤
I can relate to this song. Always makes me cry. I left an abusive marriage 13 years ago and lost my kids in the process
Wow! That voice coming out of such a petite woman. She is a legend. Great reaction!!
The first time my daughter and I saw Martina live - my daughter turned to me and said Martina's recorded music doesn't do her justice!
Such a powerhouse she is! Yeah it’s another important message too! The 90’s country was so damn good! ✌🏻😎
This is my favorite song by her. I lived this! I flew to a safe spot!!
she never recorded a bad song ever...shes in my top 3 best singers
