The most chilling thing in this movie is that after every spout of abusive behavior, he immediately swept her up with an apology. That’s such a real tactic for manipulation, not letting her sit in her feelings or even finish reacting before confusing her with affection. Chilling.

This did not happen in reality. Coppola said he came up with it because he could express Elvis' roughness that way. How could Priscilla allow this? She is the executive producer of the film.

@@theillyrianking4261 Chair throwing is an interesting story. Coppola filmed it almost exactly as Priscilla described it in her book in 1985, in fact it was even rougher in the book where Priscilla was hit in the face by a record. A few weeks ago, during Priscilla's tour, she explained that this was not true, it did not happen like that. Shame there is so much misinformation.

Many have it, and without the same life with all those pressures. Priscilla denied the "chair scene" ever happened that way...so I think she decided to appropriately show Elvis in a bad way to elevate herself as the poor victim. Nothing new. This movie is pure 🗑️

This was HORRIBLE. The tv version that PRISCILLA produced in’88 with Dale Midliff and Susan Walters was acted and told MUCH, MUCH BETTER than this version. There were soooo many technical errors (where things happened, outfits and hairstyles they had or wore were COMPLETELY wrong! I just couldn’t understand how Priscilla didn’t pick up on those mistakes 😬🥴🤷♀️!!
