She stayed with him JUST LONG ENOUGH to get the biggest settlement (five years in California), left him, got her money and got herself a movie agent. There was a victim, but it was Elvis, not her. The song should have said, "getting away with his money,, at last". Because that was exactly what he did. Now she puts out movies like this, that don't even match the book making her to be the victim.
