That should be the real plot to this alternate history scenario, some rich marines got pissed off the Army executed largest amphibious operation in history (and that record is unlikely to be broken) so they built a time machine just to make sure this time marines would get the glory. F-16 is such a nice plane that when they first came out a famous artist saw one and was convinced it was a drawing from another artist. Turns it ended up looking the way it did purely do to science lol. They look really clean even fully wingloaded. I recently read an account of a f-16 pilot that had a practice 2v2 mockup with 2 f-18s, the f-16 lost its leader 5 seconds after the merge, the guy turned the wrong way, and the other f-16 was able to 2v1 the f-18s and win. In a visual range fight there really deadly. Idk if this games modeled to have them perform the way they do caus of the blackouts. Theyre fast, can hold a turn better, and can sustain 9 gs no problem. F-18s have better yaw and some better nose authority. But a good f-16 pilot is deadly, with the new tech there throwing into them there going to be lethal i imagine the block 72's.

You’d plot your route out on a map before takeoff, work out how long it would take you to fly between waypoints at certain speeds, then face your heading and time yourself on that heading before turning to your new heading. Great operation guys! And since you were attacking father up north then in reality maybe they were better prepared also they could have detected the flux in the time with their "super science" and were waiting for future troops to come to invade.

1:16:50 if you had been somehow able to communicate to the Air assets that the Grim Reapers had captured a Tiger I Tank then it would have saved a whole lot of ordinance and maybe turned it into a certified Battlefield Style Moment with Airborne Infantry pushing along side it with death raining from above.

d day with modern targeting would be a lot less bloody for the allies, the main reason the american landings were much more deadly than the rest of the allied forced is because air attack missed their targets, not disabling a big chunk of german defenses

I really wanna get into this game but have no idea where to start. I'm not a stranger to flight Sims I mean I play warthunder but I wanna take the experience to the next lvl and go full on immersion flight stick and maybe vr headset. Was thinking of getting logitech x56 hotas. Heard the learning curb is steep but hey so was elite dangerous learning curb and I'm doing pretty good in that game. Any advice guys?

Get a flight stick, joy stick (you can even use an XBOX control of you want). Download DCS (it’s free). Practice with the SU-25T (also free). If you like it and want more then start looking investing more then do so. We all started small. - Starscream
