@ikaikaboy88 I have a 2001 E450 what that legendary 7.3L it basically a shuttle bus that I converted into an RV. Bought her off craiglist for 3k. Love this thing. Shes paid for herself many times over in what I dont pay in rent.... Now I gotta make it 4x6
@ikaikaboy88 hell yeah brother I got 307k on mine I'll be a happy camper if she makes it to 400k. I just put new glow plugs fuel injectors and a high pressure oil pump just to freshen it up. She was a bit of a slug when cold but solid as a rock now.
Beautiful rig. I have the same van in a 15 passenger and I intend to use a lot of these ideas for mine. Love that compact sink/fridge setup and the battery area. I will probably use the under frame battery storage solution but that added box is great for additional storage. Great ideas....
Have a late 90s 1 ton and it’s been the most reliable veh . I have ever owned. It’s out of the hole quick (5.4) and for a 6000 # van handles well. I put wheels on it and cheap paint job . This issue was the best looking van ever built
I noticed you don't have cruise control on the steering wheel, does the van not have it or do you have an aftermarket one? I ask because I hear they are very hard to retrofit on the diesels and I'm looking to add one to mine. Thanks for any info and what a great build!
As a people are we as citizens across the globe purchasing items because we individually like the item (vehicle, house, shoes, etc.) or are we buying items because of some invisible entity that's annoying and nerve racking to some?
For example: I have fifty thousand dollars saved. And I had no intents in buying a house even though I need to have somewhere to live and I'm an introvert towards paying rent. I realize I have choices. a. I can either pay rent b. I can buy an inexpensive house c. I can buy an empty lot and build a house on the lot I own d. I can be a NoMad and build a cabin house From research the NoMad would be the most inexpensive cost saving way to go. Yet there is a problem with some people who disrespects your decision of going as "NoMad" type of lifestyle. Using peer-pressure to cause unnecessary dilemma with business affairs or worst. Interesting.
I have a 2001 7.3L turbodiesel E450 shuttle bus that I converted into an RV. Bought her off craiglist for 3k.... Wonder if U-joint could 4x6 my shuttle bus??
This is awesome! I am new to all this buy just moved to north Carolina and 110% plan on building a van to spend some time in the mtns. with the wife. However I am guessing my 50k gets me about 1/10 if this lol.
If you’re ever digging out a wheel from the other side under the vehicle because of brush, rocks, or sheer cliff on the other side.. you’ll understand why.
I have to wonder what is he compensating for? I like monster trucks but there comes a point when you realize just because you can doesn't mean you should. I'm sure his miles per gallon is pitiful.
Considering Agency 6 is in the business of overland gear, I'd say part of the purpose of this rig is to get attention...for marketing. Looks like it worked! 🙂
Once you fix the bullshit fron the 6.0 they are outstanding engines. I'm a 7.3 fan myself but I got one I beat the hell out of in my mud truck no issues
My physics senses tell me an E-series is much heavy to be an effective off road machine. At this budget, I'd just get a fully loaded Raptor and be done with it.
Empty short wheelbase e150/250’s weigh 6k lbs and are a better candidate for hardcore off-road builds, but the extra length is nice for a a camper...up to you. U joint off-road builds e series vans into seriously capable off-roaders. If you’ve watched any ultimate adventures, a few of the years the camera crew followed the hardcore rigs in a 4x4 converted van on all of the trails. In my opinion, a short wheel base van with a pop top or high top is the ultimate camper/tow rig with good off-road ability, but it will still weigh under 8k lbs when built out.
Where are you going to sleep? Add a camper to that Raptor and you’re well into that weight range plus you now have a larger footprint and higher centre of gravity. Or skimp with a canopy or box tent and either have no room or be bear bait.
There is just something about an Econoline Van with 37s that makes it look so good!

that is indeed a savage camper
Awww...a father/son version of CarTrek. How sweet, TFL.
Beautiful! Currently my dream car!
Love the Siena seats
Insane build!

Right on Peter. I was thoroughly impressed with Ken's van and his quality of work. Would be great to see your van when you complete your build :)
Nice, well planned and thought out. Good fabrications too..
Very nice! 4x4 vans have always caught my eye !, Just something about them.
Thing of beauty!!!
Man that’s an awesome van…goals

Nice van.

Awesome man! I hope to see more of your builds.
Since bullet proofing, have you honestly experienced any issues? It’s quite expensive to do that process so it’d better be a tank.
Awesome build
This is awesome
Great rig. Very nice and clean set up. Subbed.
your van is awesome!
who does the bench/bed in the back. (frame anyways, know you said your buddy reupholstered it)
Did you custom make that box on the ceiling housing your inverter controller and switch pros unit?
I love the seats !
I need those seats
Love it!
Where did those front grab handles on the A pillar come from?
Awesome rig! Where can I find that bumper?
Bumper is made by U-Joint Off-road www.ujointoffroad.com
Is that bumper custom? I do t see it on site?😊
@@codybufkin Yup. UJoint no longer offers this bumper. Spoke to Chris directly. Too bad. It’s the coolest looking bumper I’ve seen in a long while.
@@johnvega1504 thanks for the update John
Amazing van, and local to me in Sacramento Valley
Hope to bump into you
Nice build
That engine sucks haha. Nice waste of a nice build with that sorry peice of shit running it.
Why did you chose lithium ion batteryes and not lifepo4?
Yes please!
I like the bumper...I want one...

I have a van like this I drive it back and forth from Chicago and Memphis I want a lift bad what do you suggest
For Californians, the HolyGrail would be a pre97 e350 4x4 7.3l... No smog needed!!!!
That's in the $30k+ range for one in good condition.
I have a 2001 7.3L E450 shuttle bus. Love this thing. Shes a beast
I very much like your van mate, l wish it was mine. Brian from Australia.😊👍👍🇦🇺🦘
Who did your paneling. Wow nice !
Nice!
Wonder how long the little shovel and the hi lift will stay before someone walks off with them.
Killer van! What material did you use on the ceiling? How much insulation behind it?
What wheels are you running
I have a question! the engine is already 24v? or how you are managing to charge 24v batteries (2x12v serial) with 12v?
even upgraded " oh shit" handles! very cool ride! whats the brand of those handles??
Where do I find that bumper? I’ve been searching with zero luck. Please let me know, thanks
Bumper is made by U-Joint Off-road www.ujointoffroad.com
What kind of seats did you say these were? Also, whats a van like this retail for?
sorry I didnt wait long enough, you mentioned it later in vid
Where. It's. At.
Where do u keep the food n water
And how many miles do you have on your 6.0?

Been thinking the same for mine. Check out Autarky conversions! If its a dually, shes got to go!
Hey Ken, it looks like hydrogen can get into the van cabin thru the fan on top of the steel cage?
Who went through your 6.0 motor I'm wondering if I need to find somebody who works on Vans with diesels
what kind of mpg do ya get?

There's a place in Oregon that sells these builds, they're about $35-40k. Btw that 6.0L is garbage so...
👍👍👍
Is this one for sale?
Those glasses are cool. What brand is it??
Spy
Nice but...Exterior shore power might be a better option for the winter.
Sehr schönes Auto, in Deutschland haben wir nur Matchbox
I would have invested a little extra cash into the front end conversion, the newer models look way better!!
lot of that fancy just waiting to be stolen.
That shovel on the bumper is a joke right.
They are super handy. Can’t use an full size shovel in some cases, I got 2 of the minis on my truck, along with a folding full size one
That shovel tho hahahaha

Over kill on the amount of shocks fitted. Just learn how to set the bump stops .
Too close, should’ve backed up and let us see the whole thing

Cool can but wrong motor. That’s the worst motor Ford has ever built. This video is 5 years old. Bet he’s had problems
no me impresiona en lo absoluto.
