Big ups my dude. I’ve been getting my own trailer built by a friend while I work my little hotdog cart. Watching your video series is very inspiring. Hope you have a great season this year, I’m very excited for you!!! Hope you make many people smile with your food and adventures! 🎉😊🌮
Thank you so much those kind words mean so much to me! I’m wishing you all the luck in the world my friend and we can’t wait to be out there on the road soon 🙏🏻
Your state did not require you to have fire suppression? Great job buddy. I have been battling cancer and for 7 years I have been trying to get it done. You find out who your friends truly are. God bless you and I have run out of money plenty of times. I'm not supposed to do any physical work. I have chronic back pain and every day I get up and try to get a little done. Never give up on a dream. Dreams are manifestations of truth given to you in a vision. Im still struggling but I die I know I will die trying.
Thank you so much for your awesome feedback! And I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis but I hope that you’ll beat it soon! You’re absolutely right there my friend - where there’s a will, there is always a way! Yes my state does require a supression system (that’s my next step) but they’re usually a lot of money!
Awesome work , I'm happy to see I'm not the only one. I`m down in Naples working on my truck for 2 years now and it1s finally done. Watched Frank Gutierez as well and learned electrical and plumbing and pulled it of. Love your videos.
You are certainly not alone! So glad that the videos were of some help to you and I’m wishing you all the best on your build and thank you so much for your support! 🙏🏻
You have been an inspiration my sister& I are about to embark on the same adventure and we love your videos, congratulations and praying for much success to you and you family.
Your story is very motivating. I've been trying to pull the trigger on starting my own food truck. Your videos are definitely helping my confidence. Wish you well in the future.
Thank you so much for that amazing feedback! It’s a scary journey but hoping that all the struggles are worth it! I wish you all the best in your journey and if you ever need help, don’t hesitate to reach out! Thanks again and god bless 🙏🏻
Congratulations on a great build. I’ve been off and on building my truck for 5 years. And trying to get it all done within the next few months. It’s definitely a grind.
@@poormansfoodtruck well, it’s cheap, it’s pretty noisy and I’m wondering if the draw will be good or not, I haven’t filled my fryer yet, but we’ll see:)
Did you pass the inspection? Are there any changes you would make? I am finishing up my insulation tomorrow and replacing the panels. Once again, Thank you!
Still awaiting for my propane to be completed unfortunately (these last stages are expensive). I promise to post a full update once I get my inspection! Thank you so much for your support 🙏🏻
Hey man I just wanted to let you know that I ordered my coin flooring from garage floors inc and it was by far the cheapest right now. 238$ for 7.5 x 21. Just in case ya wanted to pass it on.
Honestly, I haven’t even thought about selling it because of how much work I’ve put into it. Mine is 16ft long and 7ft wide (it’s a great size). That’s awesome thank you so much for your support!! 🙏🏻
hey brotha I love it and congrats . my trailer is going will , my 8ft hood should be here in 7 days then i can finish the plumbing and propane lines before the suppression system is put in .love to send you pictures when i'm done.
@@poormansfoodtruck You did a damn good job. I certainly hope you’re proud of yourself and took away from this experience a lot more than a food trailer. Your hard work, determination and commitment are beyond words and very admiral. Congratulations!!
Wow! That’s amazing feedback thank you so much! We are extremely proud of ourselves and how far we’ve come, it’s been quite a journey but we can finally say that we’ve done it. Thank you so so much for your support and kind worlds! They mean the world to us! God bless 🙏🏻
Great build! Just curious as to the total cost of this build, including the trailer? Also, what size trailer did you go with? Thanks, man! Good luck with your truck.
Great question - I am looking into posting a video with an entire breakdown of everything (including the trailer itself) to give everyone a good idea of how much it has cost me to this point. If I had to rough ballpark, I would say at least 8-10k however it may be more once I add up all the small things. Trailer itself is a 7’x16’. Hope this helps!
@@poormansfoodtruck wow! that's cheap!... but i dont believe it! cooking equipment was probably around 5-6k... then the fire suppression you said 2 or 3k... then hood, exhaust, sink, tables, etc... im guessing you spent around 15-18 k, which is still pretty good! inspiring!
Lookin good man, many people are telling me to get a food truck, they like my cookin. I'm retired but love cookin and smoking so many different things.

I’m sorry I know it’s been a while! We are still doing great just piecing together the final steps! We’ve had some other expenses recently so that’s why we’ve slowed down a little. Plans were approved and now just awaiting final inspection!
Frank is amazing I've been following you both while building my food trailer
Thank you for stepping out on faith.

Nice!! Doing electrical on mine today
That’s awesome! Good luck!
Thanks for the video. Did you look at Vevor’s exaust fan for the top? I ask because I bought one, just curious about the exhaust comparison
Yes I have seen those and they look great! Wish they had them sooner! How have you found yours so far?

Great video and good look ! So, is not required in Florida to have the fire suppression system on the hood?? Thank you
Thank you so much! Yes it is required in Florida to have a suppression system installed (we are having ours installed very soon)

Nice work congrats 👍
Thank you! 🙏🏻
How much does your finished trailer weigh? Thanks in advance!
Could you tell me how you Anker the equipment from sliding off?
Yes absolutely! I have used flange feet to bolt down my equipment to the tables, and also bolt the tables to the ground
Are you going to install a fire suppression system? I’m in Florida as well and was told that I would need one.
Yes sir - I won’t be installing myself as it needs to be done by a certified technician.

I'm just curious, with everything on one side did you have to beef up the suspension on that side?
Great question! I will actually be beefing up the leaf springs on both sides just to be extra cautious!
Lookin good man, many people are telling me to get a food truck, they like my cookin.
I'm retired but love cookin and smoking so many different things.
That’s awesome! If you have great food, you have a great head-start already! Looking forward to following your journey!
Besides the trailer what's the approximate total cost for the build?

What kind of sliding windows you use?
Is 3800-Watts enough for your setup?
Yes sir!
Why didn't you install an A/C?
Unfortunately draws too much power from our generator
