@@richanddarksbane1439 I love the Nocturne map theme at the start of the game. After leaving the subway station, I honestly just stood there on the map, listening to it. I really want to replay it now

The ambient feeling of this impeccable. The uncertainty and mystery of the internet the early 90s experienced is felt in every aspect of Soul Hackers 1.
This game is all becoming so creepy to me and i love it im quite blown away actually this game is so underrated. It's really easing you into the madness of the world clearly something is wrong here and it surpasses human understanding

This game is like a freaking Vaporwave album, but you can fight with and against demons while your partner is a gothic computer entity that stole your friend's body in a world going through a network revolution
hearing a literal mid-90s RPG be described as a "vaporwave" album is more cringe than I can handle in a single day. I think I got cringe-poisoning just from reading your comment.
@@chrysome4540 Yeah it's being worked on by TMS devs. It looks "nothing like Soul Hackers" because the devs are making a "sequel" in the sense that to them SH applied sci-fi of its era to Megaten, so now they're going to do that again but with Japan's sci-fi from this current decade/last decade since this current one is still pretty early. You don't get to say "this ISN'T Soul Hackers" because the only frame of reference the devs and Japanese have isn't under the lens of a 2012 rerelease where the 90s is considered "retro" and "nostalgic" or "lo-fi vibes." TLDR; ofc it looks nothing like Soul Hackers silly it's Soul Hackers 2! Oh yeah just to edge you into doompilling more since I can see Atsuro in your PFP, there's also Devil Survivor devs working on this. This game could also easily be a indirect showcase of what they're capable of making for consoles and Survivor 3 could very well end up being possibly similar to SH2 here lmao.

on the same level as Nocturne for me, but it really is great

Here to wash off the bad taste of weeb trash from that "sequel"
