Thanks for the Video: You could add: The best GUI of all DAW's, ability to customise your own buttons in the Logic Remote. We still need, however, Take folder options for MIDI's.
I swear good sir....your videos are so full of good things. I’ve been using logic since version 4 dot something. Back in the day when I spent $1000 for a 2.6gb external HD on my Mac Performa 600 that ran at 32mHz (or something) with a single processor. So what is that..? 25+ years ago, and every time I watch one of your videos I learn something new. I’ll rewind parts of your videos and watch it over again, and then watch the part AGAIN, so I don’t forget.
Amazing video. I’ve been using Logic for 11 years and still feel as if I know NOTHING. Do you teach any Logic courses? Looking to take my knowledge to the next level. Thanks!
I'm right with you! I've been using Logic for about 20 years and, even though I'm a full-time pro and record industry superstars, I barely scratch the surface of what Logic can do. It's like the old thing about how we only use 10% of our brain. 🤣
@@o.b.v.i.u.s Yeah. I keep telling myself that instead of starting a new track, I need to take some time to familiarize myself with Logic and upgrade my skills and knowledge…Nope. Never happens.
Insightful as ever! Thanks for all the great content Chris, it really is appreciated. Hope you have a safe and happy Christmas, and here's to a brilliant 2022 🍻
Hey man! Could you make a video on why techno producers should consider working with Logic Pro X? I would really appreciate this. Across the world and especially in Europe most techno producers work with Ableton. However, with all the new features that came in during the last updates, I was wondering if you could show some tips and tricks on why Logic might be the better alternative. Thanks!
Nice video! Cubase 11 Pro has all of these stuff, including matching EQ :). If I wasn't using Cubase, I think Logic would be my choice. For Now I'll stick with Cubase, ideally on an Apple machine :).
hey bro... how do I move tracks without having to do it in the arrangement view? i want to move the tracks within the mixer.... this should be a no brainer but i spent 45 mins tryng to figure this shit out
Anyone knows how to enable the "show track count upon scrolling" feature at 9:38? I remember this was possible some time ago but can't find after anything related to this on the internet now and feels like a feature that's being removed in one of the versions of Logic Pro…
I'm sold unfortunately I can't afford or sustain the cost of apples high end hardware. I know this would never happen but if this was ever to be released for windows I would buy this ASAP. I remember using this when I ran on windows in the early 2000s
Thank you so much for the video. Would you help me out on this please: Using Roland's MX1 to control Logic Pro X Connecting a hardware synth to Logic Pro X The easiest way to use Spark LE on Logic Pro X Thank you very much ( 10.5.1 my Logic pro X version )
I use Logic Pro X for post-production in TV/Film and I'm really frustrated with the automation zoom settings. I wish the track size wouldn't change when I toggle automation mode. Do you know of a way to change this?
And there propably is 10 reasons for using Cubase or ProTools too. Next will be 10 reasons to use Apple M1 for DaW use, and then some have 10 Reasons to use a PC :)
I bought Melodyne about a year ago and the ARA worked great for about a week. Then one day I pulled it up and when it opened the plugin blew up to be bigger than the size of the screen. There’s no way to make it smaller so it’s useless. So I’ve just been using the normal version. I’m also not sure if it’s a Logic issue or a Melodyne issue. If someone could give me some insight on what the problem is that would awesome. It would be nice to be able to use all of the features on a plugin I paid hundreds for.
I tried Logic on 2 songs a few years ago. The 3 things I remember are: The built in tuning sounded horrible, too many popups asking questions and unexpected clip volume behavior. It had many redeeming qualities as well but it missed some crucial functionality compared to my DAW of choice. The best DAW is the one you are familiar with.
If Logic Pro update his exporting options and allow full integration with console 1 could be my main DAW. I mean this DAW feel fun like Ableton live and Fl studio but his exporting system is really bad not allowing you to exporting Wet and Dry signal from the channels as a mix engineer that send stems for master is a big down side.
you can as well export wet and dry signals, it's a very hidden parameter but if you go into the export instead of bounce and export stems, you can bypass all plugins
Logics mixer, pre/post, and solo/mute behavior keeps me away. I think Apple should redesign it something closer to reality. (Maybe... shamelessly copy from protools.)
It doesn't have clip gain automation, the fades are awful to use, audio editing is a nightmare, the entire feel of it is too clunky and rounded off and it's hard to get anywhere close to the precision of a daw like pro tools. It also doesn't have an audiosuite type feature. I can live without any of that stuff.
I agree with you. However Logic has a ton of stuff for creativity. You just need to be insensitive about the processes running under the hood. (For me its still a nightmare that sometimes it adds a few sample delay for a track and only a complete restart solve the problem.)
Logic is awesome ever but apple is worst in itself. Apple upgrade logic but you need to install big sur. Logic 10.7 can not install in mojave, no backward os compatibility 👎🏻
Chris, Apple should really hire you, because you have the best most informative channel for Logic. Great job.
lmao you think he ain't getting paid

Yes to 2022 and Logic Pro in 2022 and WLPR in 2022! Thanks, Chris for your hard work! Great!
7:50 Beautiful, I knew not of 'Slip-editing' this is the shiz. Very welcomed.
Wow. When "Top 10 why you should use Logic" is full of great tips for actual user. Great as always Chris. Thanks.
Thanks for all your videos, Chris!! Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays!!

Nice. I did not know about a lot of this stuff. Thank you!
Another great video, Chris. Thank you again!
Thank you so much! You are helping me so much learning Logic. I knew it was awesome but I didn't know it was THIS awesome! All thanks to you!
this is a GREAT video! I hope it will help to make engineers think twice now ! Well done, thank you !
Wow, thank you so much. I used to think that I knew Logic pretty well, I now know better! thank you!
Awesome! Happy Holidays!
Great Job Chris, very helpful and easy to follow. Thank you
I use Logic remote for the shortcuts since I never learned keyboard shortcuts. It’s amazing

I just wish Logic had a mix knob for ALL its audio plugins.

i hope they add the ability to put summing stacks inside summing stacks. I'm really missing that ability from bitwig when I want to make summing bus.
yes! I have no idea why we're not able to do that, it makes absolutely no sense...
You can route the output of multiple summing stacks to a single bus/aux channel and achieve the same result.
@@cjgoeson it’s kind of the same result processing wise, but it takes more time and we lose the organizational factor and ease of use of the stacks
@@cjgoeson I know and that how I do it now but I’m saying I want the workflow of putting summing tracks inside summing stacks. It’s much faster.
@@lawinter1949 I agree ☝️ 👍
Logic and Reaper is the best combo!
All great but where is 32bit float? Logic Pro is the only DAW left without it.
You can export in 32bit float

I have a question. I keep getting this Problem Report for com.apple.audio.InfoHelper. What should I do about this?
