That is some nice trivia !!! I've typed this code a gazillion times back in the day and it never occurred to my what cwal was. Thanks for revealing that.
It made me laugh at 2:07:58 when arty says the factory is late, yet you see it floating not more than 30 seconds later. Great cast and great games. Thanks tastosis!
Yeah. Translating is hard. I speak Korean pretty well, not quite like a native speaker, but well enough to translate. It's hard cuz like Korean doesn't always translate perfectly and it sounds weird when you say it in English sometimes.
@@alexfriedman2152 yeh i know. Korean is, I would say, very incompatible with European languages. Translator did a tremendous job in considering the context and making it into comprehensible english sentences whilst doing the justice of the original meaning of the spoken Korean. This requires a lot of effort and talent.
@@정여훈-m1z Agree. I translated SaiyanSC's videos once or twice and even easy stuff like "수고 하셨습니다~" I was like Umm "You put in WORK!" But that doesn't sound right lol but then if you just say "Good job" That doesn't work either.
@@alexfriedman2152 haha yes 수고하셨습니다 is the trickiest one to translate because it is used in many different contexts. In some cases it is literally 'appreciate your hard work' or 'you did a good job', but in many other cases it is rather a farewell word like 'see you next time'. And yes I think I did see your ID in one of the Saiyan's videos. Thank you for your work there! It helped me a lot learning English.
I don't contribute to money to this broadcast production for them to no longer provide subtitled translated. This voice-over translator is distracting. Remove him already.
Thank you for the quick uploads, guys! You don't even know how much happinnes you bring to my Tokio nights with these! Love it guys! Laughed so much during the Best/Taengu match. Would love to see a bit of translation of the fan's signs in the audience, and for Tasteless to use the players names rather than referring to 'the terran' for example 🙏🙏love your work
I have a recommendation for these youtube videos once the matches start being best of 3 and best of 5 best of 7 or whatever. Add maybe 2 hours or so of a black screen to every video making them a standardized length, otherwise it's easy to tell when a player isn't gonna come back in a series if you see the yt video is almost over
The thing about Best’s misplacement was that you tend to lose the gateway in a hydra bust anyways. So he was behind… but not behind in an unsalvageable way
True, but in the moment it looked like Best was behind after that embarrassing building placement. It’s so frustrating so many good Protoss lose because of this lately. I think that Best sure got ahead until the lings got in his base. They also kept most of the zealots inside the base and Best also lost 1 zealot to those lings and that was not good at all. I think that the dark archon saved Best as that group of hydras was a bit scary. It would’ve surrounded Best’s army and force it to hide inside that third where it could’ve been locked in with a few lurkers and hydras, while the rest of the hydras cut all reinforcements and attacked the nat. So that malestrom grabbed a lot of the hydras grouped on the high ground, then storms wiped them out and really forced the rest of that army to flee that was the moment Best took the game in my opinion. Awesome game! Gonna have to watch it again well more calm, without the stress of thinking Best was done lol 😂
@@TRYCLOPS1 Action still had a good chance if he went into hive tech but instead just kept making hydras and lurkers and kept trying to end it, crashing into storm after storm.
imo also have to consider that sometimes when people make an embarrassing self-induced mistake like that, the fact that they already messed up can kind of help them refocus and kill any nerves they might have - kind of like "shoot, i already screwed up badly, well, what can go worse? let me just try to do whatever i can" - in other words, I think it might have helped Best to bring out his best play after. not only did he do the zealot damage, but he balanced his army's make-up and positionings well to hold off Action, and successfully guarded a 3rd base that you could easily argue to be difficult (but I think the other close-by potential 3rd didn't have gas, which I don't think the casters mentioned). whereas if he's not on 11gate and his spellcasters fall without being effective, I think it could've easily snowballed in the other direction technically just theory, but that's kind of the vibe I got - and it connects with that "I'm just going to try and play relaxed" feeling I've heard a lot. if you've already messed up bad enough it wouldn't be weird to lose outright, there'd be no fear of failure to inhibit you from just focusing on the game and playing the best you can (obviously though it still has to be a recoverable position - which it was because he didn't get busted entirely - and I do think the timing of the nexus you mentioned was a boon to that too)
@@Fireshrine yea gotta love this game at that level. Every little thing matters. Action also sat on his butt and thought he had this in the bag and didn’t think he had to transition to Hive tech.

1:37:24 The question about the lack of map variety in other esports is an interesting one. I think at least part of it is because even though the map doesn't change in something like League of Legends, the champions do. Contrast with Brood War; where the races are always going to be the same. There are no new units to shake up the meta, so maps are the ONLY way to shake things up, mechanically.
It feels like SK Terran is so good if you mix in continous battlecruisers lategame, especially if you upgrade them so they one shot scourge and just mostly use attack move with them from positions hydra's can't overpower them, basically like carriers against goliaths.
When I was in high school, a friend (zerg) of mine death dropped, and I didn't notice on the minimap because his colour was brown and blended in with the brown map. Shift-Tab ever since 😂
As an ex-competitive Melee player, I can say that the barrier to entry for Melee is harder, but the barrier to become a top player is harder for Starcraft. 1:00:10 when he saw the ultras coming would walling with the 3 barracks (or even start new buildings with the scvs) he didnt use at the natural choke with tanks behind save him from being ultra smashed?
Myabe. But i dont think Ssak expected the Ultraling to come so hard and fast with a move command through all of the mines and also he didnt expect Action to have that many ultras as well. Main mistake was he transitioned too early to mech without a 3rd base and not enough standing M&M army. The moment he lifted his barracks i said to myself: Well, he is dead. Also loosing the 4 valks enabled the Mutas to comeback and do even more damage to his already low eco for a Mech game.
