Nice work mate 👌 just curious, is this used as part of your evidence for part 2 / advanced training? Also, I'm just starting as a cots labourer, how long did you need to reach part 2? I'm grafting hard to get there quick as poss. Cheers 👍
cheers mate 😎no mate, just filming for a laugh really, put a few vids up and see what comes of it 👍 when i started out i just needed a CSCS Card i didnt have to do the COTS course back then. i done labouring for a couple of year, then part 1, wait 6 month, then part 2, wait another 6 month, then assessment and portfolio. quicker the better mate getting your tickets, also a driving licence if you havnt already got one, very handy and opens up more opportunity. good luck all the best 💪🔧
@@OnThePipes ah nice one, i'm always interested to know ppl's story! Cool well i have a driving license, normal one though not hgv. Guessing that's a nice to have bonus? bit pricey though did some research and it's like £3k~, suppose i'll earn more with that though? 🤷♂️ did you get your tickets paid yourself or your employer get it funded?
@@hellespont5072 spot on, makes it easier getting about to different sites and that, you shouldnt have a problem finding work as a trainee if need be, a decent trainee that can drive is in high demand! and when qualified you can go anywhere any time. yeah the last i checked was £3k i couldnt believe it! it was half that when i done my part 1/2 course 10 year ago. deffo earn more money mate once qualified! i borrowed money to pay for my part 1, and then employer at the time lent me the money for part 2, which i had to pay back, minimum wage at the time went up and then got a pay rise so was easier and quicker to pay back. £3k tho.. joke that. hopefully some goverment schemes come out in the near future for free courses or discounted 🤞
@@OnThePipes cheers mate appreciate the info & advice, setting me in proper good stead for the future! I'll shoot you some more questions at some point 😁
