Yorkshire gold was advertised for hard water areas (water high in certain minerals like calcium). There was adverts on TV about it when it first came out, but I don't think they advertise it anymore. They went on an American road trip with the tea in an ice cream van, the adverts you can still see on UA-cam.
Waitrose trade on their old reputation. Today, at least in my local branch in SW London, the shelves are crammed with their “essentials” product which means cheaper and lower quality. Yes they still have some very good products but to be honest I find a better variety and more good quality products at my local Sainsburys.
My former local Waitrose 😀 I recognise the layout! I pop in there sometimes, but use the Waitrose stores closer to me as I'm several miles away. My must buy items from Waitrose are: their quality own brand pasta including Pennoni Rigati, their own brand (no sugar) fruit and nut museli, and the Waitrose pink fresh grapefruit juice from the chiller in a plastic bottle (better taste and cheaper than a well known tropical sounding brand) - all great value. I tend to bulk shop in Sainsburys. I'll say "Hello!" if i see you in there, Yvette. 👋😀
Hello Yvette. I live on my own and buying veg can be very wasteful, especially onions. I bought recently pre-chopped and frozen onions, 500g for $1.30 in Sainsbury’s. I take a hand full from the freezer defrost it in my omelette pan, add the egg mix and cheese and I’ve got a good Cheese and Onion Omelette, and I haven’t used/wasted half an onion. And there’s no crying either!
Its good to see you back. Sympathy for the loss of your best friend . That sucks. As a brit aboard (Birmingham and now San Francisco) its cool to see your experiences in the UK. My youngest daughter just relocated from SF to Earls Court London . I think its nice to see an outsiders perspective on my country as my young one is also doing.

Glad those ring pull cans had normal bottoms that can be opened with a can opener and not the moulded ones. Last time I opened a ring pull can resulted in 9 stitches between thumb and forefinger slicing a vein open (a trip to A&E by Ambulance as Taxi refused to take me dripping blood everywhere). One should always take fresh or chilled produce from the back of the shelf as that's the newest stock when a shelf restocked correctly. (Supermarkets will ban me now for saying that). Didn't spot any loose leaf tea or coffee beans surprised by that or just not caught in shot.
Not thr poshest in Uk. We havr Booths in thr North. Blows Waitrose out the water.

Camera skills are SUPER lacking. If your point is to share the store, slow down and film it so people can see. This made me nauseous and essentially it's just you rushing around talking.
