Yes. As an 8 year old watching this show, I loved everything about it.
The 80s were the greatest decade of my life. Awesome music, awesome shows, awesome tv themes. Al Jarreau was one of my favorites (RIP my friend) your voice will live on forever. Cybil Shepherd was my first major crush when i was 7. Im 42 now and she still is my major crush.😀
And I loved Bruce Willis...still do. I don't see Cybill Shepherd much any more, but always liked her. I saw Al Jarreau once at a live concert. What a wonderful musician!

Never missed an episode! Loved Bruce Willis'/ David Addison's sense of humor and the chemistry between Willis and Shepherd.
They don't make sitcoms like this anymore.

It is very sad that Al (Milwaukee's Master of Scat) Jarreau was forced to retire from touring due to his health. Although I am not high on singers, Al Jarreau beat a majority of today's Black Male vocalists-STONED COLD! In his memory, I played his music score from the TV series-Moonlighting. I am also VERY ENAMORED of his collaboration with the late Joe Sample in: Somehow, Our Love Survives!

What an excellent, excellent, excellent theme, show and these photo's of the beginning of the show. The Jerreau extended version rules! I have always liked this 1987 hit, it did Al justice! He is perfect putting out the vocal, nobody could do it better! Thank God Al is still around today, and with George Benson, its a new meaning of class, style, and coolness. Thank you for the upload, fabulous memories of a better time, and entertainment. Nothing holds a candle to this one! Nothing!

I remember seeing this back in the 80s but for the life of me, I couldn't remember any of the storylines in the show until I checked a few eps out on UA-cam, and even then I can't actually recall any of it. I couldn't even remember the actual name of the show until I googled the theme song and it was associated with this show.
It was purely the opening theme itself, that's what always stayed with me. There were certainly much better TV shows that were around back in the same era, things like Dallas and Knots Landing etc, but none of them had a better opening than Moonlighting.

Alwin Lopez Jarreau (March 12, 1940 - February 12, 2017), better known by his stage name Al Jarreau, was an American singer and musician. Jarreau received a total of seven Grammy Awards and was nominated for over a dozen more. Jarreau is perhaps best known for his 1981 album Breakin' Away, for having sung the theme song of the late-1980s television series Moonlighting, and as a performer in the 1985 charity song "We Are the World". I love his songs, "After All" & "Moonlighting" and like many other of his beautiful life enjoying songs/music. Al Jarreau brought beautiful songs/music into the world of Jazz, Soul, R&B arena. My condolence to his family, closes friends and love ones, may his soul, (brotha) forever rest in peace.
