The reason of the screen is because its pixel perfect for GBA.. This is its main focus hence the gameboy purple.. This device is the ultimate GBA handheld
Got one of these several days ago & out of the box I wasn't very impressed with the higher end games but after finding a version of Emuelec 3.8 that runs better than the stock version that came with the unit it was running some of those games marginally better (still far from perfect but better). As for the lower end stuff (SNES, Mega Drive, GBA, etc) I really didn't see any issues other than the minor visual problems (squished pixels due to the smaller screen resolution) that I barely notice. This is probably the best "Odroid clone" currently out due to it's build quality & having the extra analogue stick but I would only recommend this for someone who doesn't already have an "Odroid clone" that their happy with. All in all I'm pretty happy with it & it's easily my go to portable... at least until 2 weeks from now when a "metal version" will be slated for release.
@@edgarledesma4342 Probably not a good idea to leave links in someone elses comment section but if you search "Emuelec 3.8 RG351P" on youtube you should be able to find it (thats how I found it anyway).
Unless they hit that DS, PSP and dreamcast emulation square on the nose it aint worth upgrading (if you can call it that) from the RG350M, but thanks for the video man. I kinda think if they went 5 inch or maybe 7 inch with a higher resolution I may have been interested. Mid 40s retro gamer starting to need glasses.....know what im saying man! hahaha
Man the pocket go v2 has dual sd card slots. All of these systems need that to carry all the playable games. Personally, I’d like a handheld system that perfectly emulates consoles and handhelds up to at the least ps1, but that can also have enough storage for all those games. I’m happy to stick to the pocket go v2 until something like that comes to market.
Oh, I did forget, I do get a random reboot once in a while when I use the standby button to bring it out of standby. Check that out and make sure you ALWAYS save your game before clicking standby.
I love this thing too! The otg wifi dongle thing works perfect. I went with my own roms and a different theme. You need to dig into this system's settings to really get this thing to shine. I also didn't get any issue with the dpad.
with a 1.0.8 flash it plays PSX games amazing some PSP even has a upscaled mario64 version that double's the framerate of the original DS is ok but needs frame skip
I ordered a RG351P, and should receive it soon, but now I think that I should have gone with the RG350M for the screen, lol. I don't plan on playing anything higher than a PS1, so I may get the RG350M in the future at some point.
Seems like they rushed to get this to market instead of waiting until everything was working fine, and no corners needed to be cut. I have a retroid pocket 2 coming, i think I'll wait for a future revision, even if it's more expensive
I have the RG350M. I wish I could swap out the buttons with GBA buttons but I love the gameboy emulation. It has less screen tearing than my actual GBA.
Well i really like the design and the screen is gorgeous. The button layout is perfect to me. My only concern is the glitches, hopefully the dpad is durable. Does it have a way where you can add games to it? I hope it has a huge library of the best games tho. I might get this. I appreciate you sharing the info with us. Have a good one
I managed to get it for free, but overall it's really ok. It is missing many classics. Gameplay is fine and screen resolution is good as well. Also the ds emulator deletes itself if you turn it off a certain way.
Hi, this console got touch screen function when use this console to running the NDS game? Because some of the NDS game need to used touch screen function to play the game, like jigsaw puzzle game, thank you.
I was about to buy an RG351P, but at the end I bought the RGB10 because I saw it running better on all videos. But right now I wasn't sure if I made the right choice, 'cause of the RG351P's build quality, but I still see the RGB10 running better on videos...
Probably 6 months later they add HDMI... I lost any hope on this... I use my smartphone and SN30 Pro+ with adapter and I am able to Play even gamecube...
@@cbk12 8bitDo offering clip on adapters for almost all thers controllers it have sliding holder for smartphone - and this way you have powerfull handheld console.
Having a very bad time with drastic. The emulator menu doesn't work and the letters are too small I can't read that. Can't properly save state/load and now I messed up with the controls (reset to default is different from how it came when I bought it)
They need drop the rk3326 or any rockchip for that matter. And just use mt8183 mt8192 or unisoc t618 so that we can run android 10 or variant of emuelec 4.0
Almost every game shown Was glitchy at some point, I’m just not an emulation guy, I’m even having trouble wanting to play Super Mario 3D Allstars knowing it’s mostly emulation.
So I wasn’t aware emulators where a thing! I haven’t heard of emulators since I had an android, and I’ve had iPhones since the 5 so it’s been a while, I decided on this as my first emulator! Looks impressive and affordable, on Amazon I payed 99.99 last night, it shipped today on prime and its ETA is tomorrow! Can’t wait to play Pokémon!

That stutter for N64 kills me. The hacked Switch and the Retroid Pocket 2 utterly destroy this system.

Where did you find that new 3.8 Emuelec

Personally I love my RG351. The D-Pad issue can be fixed with a software fix.
So many of these coming out. I think in a few months we will have one that emulates PS5 haha
Easy there. Let's not get ahead of ourselves

@HECTOR MONTALVO I know..... I need my glasses to use a portable now which is a shame but that's life. Hopefully anbernic make a bigger screen model.
You still get good N64 Emulation though.
Nah, 5 inches would be ok but at 7 inches it stops being so portable.

I want a handheld that just plays The Binding of Isaac Flash game... someone make that.
GP2 Wiz had flash game support
Its worth playing around with the frameskip to get some of the games working ok
not sold on this thing. i get a surprising amount of use with my rg350m beyond standard emulators, so itll take a lot to replace it.
Have you tried the Retroid Pocket 2? It's the best handheld for the price in my personal opinion
Does it have animal crossing? And is it pre loaded?

@@MrThegamemasterlord it is very good. I have been playing through the Final Fantasy series with it so far.
Just got my RG351P today. Not bad little system, I am disappointed that there is no Opendingux though for homebrew and native engine games though.
Why did they remove the WiFi?
Made a static sound when in use.... You can relocate the wire to fix the og model... New models come with a Wi-Fi dongle system

Maybe one day they will make a dual screen with touch support to play DS games legit
I imagine that would spike costs up like crazy. Maybe in the form of a premium option

Looks alright but would probably be better with 40 LEDs inside it.
Needs more Sesame Street.
It's never ending if you still hungry on what you got.
Same issue I had with my RP2! The internal Wi-Fi card is faulty and won't connect to my router. This keeps you from downloading wanted apps and roms ,
I’m definitely gonna get this
is the NES game nintendo world cup pre installed on this device?

Upgrade it to Ark OS, that thing certainly makes this model better.
yeah, the excessive hardware revisions are a pain!
So if I wanted to play Pokémon black , would it run well ?

mario kart 64 that one screen is only black because there a option disable in the core if able the device wont be able to run the games
How to swap lay out ?
I have the RG350M. I think the only way I'll upgrade is when one of these devices can play gamecube.
Just ordered 5 units for resale... should have got 6 so I could hold on to one for myself lol.
The two games will dictate my decision for a new handheld is pilotwings 64 and animal crossing ds. If it can’t do that smoothly I won’t get one
Looks like a cool little device. That aux on top is stupid tho.
I have the RG350M and wont upgrade yet. This thing looks the part but just struggles to convince me.
With ArkOS or 351ELEC it runs better =D
Can you save game progression in PS1 games?
Yes you press L3+R1 to save, L3+L1 to load
And if you don't want to use save state you have the memory card
Can this play psp games ?
Yes, but not everything perfectly. Hit and miss but it does play quite a few decently well.

I really like this thing
Aight then.
rg 350p or 351p?
I'd choose 350p for longer battery and better resolution ratio. 351 doesn't look like a major upgrade from 350 to make it worth buying.

Maybe, N64 and Dreamcast just aren't designed to be played as a portable.
