hell yeah dude! i live in portland and i'm up at skibowl nearly every other day!. its a SUPER good place to learn general bike handling skills. it doesn't have a ton of variation but it has some of the gnarliest trails in the pacific northwest, no doubt. ridgeline to cannonball to pro line to cat II to firehydrant is the route the PNW cup takes place on and it's one of the most grueling, fastest dh races in the area. skibowl isn't the best place to snowboard or ski but when the summer rolls around, i'm up there 24/7. so sick to have such an awesome place so close to home! I take it this video was recorded near the beginning of the summer tho as the trails today (8/29/2020) were absolutely blown out and there were no damp trails in site.
I went for my first downhill experience a few weeks ago and had a blast. I was thinking this had to be some of the more gnarly stuff lmao. But also keep in mind you can just loop the top lift instead of going all the way down and imo i was getting more runtime and less lift time that way.
@@RedValleyMilsim yeah actually last time i was there, i realized i dont need to goto the bottom to loop the upper half which is sick but honestly i like the lower section more. the last table on fire hydrant is addicting
This was my first experience and it got me hooked. Shout out to the random dude who helped me and gave huge tips when i accidentally took trail 2 the first time down. 🙌🙌🙌
That’s Rad! I just got back in to cycling/mtb after a 20yr hiatus. So much has changed. Definitely want to try Hood. I’m assuming the trails are ranked like ski runs? I would for sure need to ease into it with green circle. Thanks for sharing!🤙
@@NeverProMTB Super dusty. I just threw a couple of videos together. Had to keep a bit of distance between riders to see the trail. Worth the run through. Rode through (most of) Cat II and Send it. Think that gap on Send it is mine next run!
I'll have to give it another shot cuz I was up there about 7-8 years ago and any trail not in the woods, which wasn't much, was more like rock bouncing since the rain has taken all dirt away.
Nice video man! Looking forward to checking out some footage with the new camera. Hoping my hand will be healed enough to start riding again soon cause 4 weeks off the bike has been rough.
I'm hoping to check this out this summer. The freeride section looks really fun, but maybe a little less enticing if you can't just lap it top-to-bottom. ✌️
It is breathtaking, for sure. I actually like the views better than from Timberline since it is further back from the summit. I'm guessing it is about 25 minutes from top to bottom for me. #sluglife
Thanks! No gimbal, just in-camera stabilization. Seems to be the sweet spot for me for decent footage, and less bulk. After all, I'm out there to ride first and foremost :)
Looks way better than Timberline! Just more variety and overall much more interesting to watch and ride.

Cannonball is well worth the ride to the top.

We were there Saturday the 15th. Ripping good times had by all.
How dusty was it? It was early season when I did the video. #slowtoedit

Please reopen Skibowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep shredding dude! subbed
Thanks! Will do!
yeah! 👌
Are they requiring masks for the chairlift...?
They definitely were last year. I'm not sure what the plan is this year yet. They're really just required for loading and unloading.

I had a similar experience. I'm mostly stuck to the woods 😁
Was there Saturday lol going this Saturday as well lol
Get it!

The scenery is awesome. How long would you say the ride is from top to bottom?

NeverPro MTB, would’ve taken me longer. All dependent on how fast the paramedics get to me lol
@@nrolfsen Ha! I'm guessing those biking paramedics are pretty fast, so you might beat me down.
NeverPro MTB HAHA!!
good to watch someone who rides more like I do, are you using a gimbal? I prefer the non gimbal video's anyway thanks for sharing
