Both puzzles were neat, but I prefer the Hexanut. I like dexterity challenges, but not exactly the ones that "would be pretty easy if I just had 6 hands"
I often find that 3D printed puzzles are a little over printed; like when a plastic screw or pin is used instead of a metal one in sequential discovery puzzles. Sometimes 3D printing every part of a design makes these puzzles look a bit weird. These two are some of the nicest looking 3D printed puzzles I've seen in a long time, the symmetry and simplicity really makes it look more pleasing. Very fun solve to watch!
I wonder if you could make a precision metal version of the Hexanut. It may require a little flexibility that metal wouldnt have, but I could only imagine itd increase the satisfaction even more if it was possible.
I liked hexanut cause it's more of a sequential discovery puzzle which are my preferred puzzle style. shuriken, not so much. I really do not enjoy fiddly puzzles that work great if you have four arms. great video!
I'm still trying to solve a 4-piece Hanayama metal puzzle... since late 2018 😅. I specifically disassembled it with my eyes closed to make it more difficult... and it worked. There is a Mr. Puzzle video with the solution, I've been able to resist watching it so far. I try solving it once every few months thinking I'd have a new perspective on how to approach it but... nope.
The Hexagon is really interesting and very cool concept but it should be made of different material, CNC out of steel maybe, that screeching noise made my ears bleed, almost. otherwise, very cool.
I find myself remembering a video of yours in witch you were spending time with your son on the puzzle in question. If that was the case then Happy Father's Day Mr. Puzzle.
I ordered both of these puzzles and wanted to try to solve them before watching the video to compare my process with yours. I'd say we had a similar approach to the first puzzle, but you figured it out quicker than I did. For the 2nd puzzle, the solution is right there. It just really is all about the coordinated motion and having them exactly aligned. I was able to get it in about 20min, but my approach was slightly different. I put each pair in one by one around the circle first, to make sure I could get them in the exact places, so I had the motion first with 2 places and then 3, etc. By the time I was putting in the last position, it was pretty fidgety still to move them together, but I think doing it one by one in order helped get them closer to the exact position needed to get them all at once.
Most such puzzles use coordinated motion during the final assembly. Given this is *not* the solution for the hexanut, I wonder if the hexanut would be more challenging if it arrived disassembled.
Not done my Blood Pressure any favours lol... I don't know how it was effecting your emotions but I just wanted to launch it lol You have an abundance of patients when you're puzzling 👍😷👍
For the shuriken. Try putting it together with a fitting nut inside the hexagonal hole. This should line up all the pieces perfectly right before they can slide together
@@TheE9climber Machine time also adds to the cost. And these shapes are not that complicated to cut and glue. If you make just one or two, sure print it, if you make 50 there is almost always a better way to do it than 3d printing.
Considering the trouble I have with coordinated motion in some Hanayama puzzles, I think the Shuriken would fill my swear jar in under 20 minutes.
🤣🤣

👌👌👌👌👌👌
Wow Amazing Talent Mr Puzzle! Love watching your videos!

I agree. I. Am also not a fan of 3d printed puzzles. There are some nice exceptions though!
They were even so satisfying to watch. Both puzzles were amazing
Love how you can feel the passion when he solves the Hex puzzle. This is why we puzzle
Thanks for the long-format puzzle vid! Always been my favorite. Great puzzles too, and efficient solves. Mr. P strikes again!
Also my favorite format

I like the gold one more. It would be nice if they made a wooden version of both puzzles.
The first puzzle reminds me of the Cast Spiral puzzle.
-Ha! Think you can solve this??
-*Yes for SHURIKEN*
OMG...THE PUZZLE MOVED FOR HIM...WOW !
I love the way you work through your thinking with puzzles so we can learn to puzzle better!
These are very well-made 3D printed puzzles, and they are very interesting.
Love all the puzzles you solve all satisfying well done keep it up
I liked hexanut cause it's more of a sequential discovery puzzle which are my preferred puzzle style.
shuriken, not so much. I really do not enjoy fiddly puzzles that work great if you have four arms.
great video!
The Hexanut kind of reminds me of a Hanayama puzzle you did at the start of your channel. I think it is called the Cast Spiral.
I would love to see these puzzles in brass or aluminium.

The Shuriken forcing Mr.Puzzle to solve it. It not playing no games. It literally fell apart for him 😂
I love both of these puzzles!

Might be harder! And also easier from production point of view.
7:25 that was satisfying
can Mr Puzzle solve these? Shur-i-ken.
😂 Love how you accidentally solved the 3 level puzzle first
😁
I liked the shuriken more makes you think more on how it goes together both were very satisfying to watch you solve well done 👍🏾
Not my fave type of puzzle but very clever.
07:25 Mr Puzzle - that label placement is either some slick sleight of hand or clever editing 😮
Both are great but I prefer the Hexanut.
My goodness!! No spinning or banging?? They've got to be good just for that fact alone
easy to come apart but not so easy to put back together! lol
Not done my Blood Pressure any favours lol... I don't know how it was effecting your emotions but I just wanted to launch it lol

Hexanut in metal? That would be devine
Yes, thought about that all the time!
Cast Hexanut by Hanayama.
Fantastic.
Same principle as the HANAYAMA SPIRAL
Think both of these would look amazing when made out of wood (probably cheaper to make too).
You can‘t produce a complicated shape like this much cheaper than with 3D printing. Each probably less than 1$ material cost
@@TheE9climber Machine time also adds to the cost. And these shapes are not that complicated to cut and glue. If you make just one or two, sure print it, if you make 50 there is almost always a better way to do it than 3d printing.
I prefer the big one
Lube.. that first one.. it needs lube..
😁
Good night from Indonesia
Has there ever been a puzzle that you haven't been able to solve ??
Puzzle solving seems like an integral part of our thinking. Are there companies that focus on child puzzles?
The Nut is harder than the Shuriken. The Shuriken is just not a perfect design.
I don't like the crunchy sounds................
I also prefer the Hexanut. Did not expect it to be that cool.
That was a neat twist on the hexanut too.
Spoiler
The first puzzle feels very similar to the "Cast Spiral Puzzle" from Hanayama.
2 weeks!? What is UA-cam doing!
one word: SATISFYING 🤤👌❤❤
Yes!
I would love to see both Mr Puzzel and Chris Ramsey team up together to do an escape room. Let's make this happen.
I think they would strangle each other! 😂😂 They have such different approaches to solving.
Greetings from Brazil. Love your videos
Thanks! Regards from Germany!
Love it 🇮🇩
