R.I.P. dear brother Jesse! So good to hear this version of this song. Jesse wrote this song when he was just a teenager, and I have always listened to the version in which Jesse performs with The Gaithers. This is really authentic! Just lovely!

I just found out that Jessy passed away in September heaven has grand choir, many are pioneers that open the door for today's gospel young signer's. Rip Jessy Dixon!!

I have played, and played, and played, and played this video...there is NOTHING on earth that can be compared to the promises granted by our Lord God for those who believe--everything on this earthly plain that we go through is not worthy to be compared to the promises He has made when God calls us home~! Glory, Glory to His Name~!!!

Yes, San47di1, I wanted to say the same thing. I used to sing this with the Adult Choir at New Zion Baptist Church in Columbus OH, back in the late '60's early '70's, & we loved doing this song for the people...always such a blessing. I only "discovered" Bro. Jesse thru the Gaither Homecoming videos in the late '90's, but what a joy & blessing he was (and still is, thru these videos). God Rest his sweet soul. What a Choir he must be singing with NOW! ..makes me feel good just to think of it! (:

You know, I just realized that these people are the deposit of the greatest talent in gospel music. No disrespect, and God knows I love me some Clark Sisters, but Donnie, Yolanda, J Moss, and that generation just don't rise to this level.
