This song brings me back so many years. My mother passed away when I was 39, but I was blessed to have another older lady who helped me through my pain. Mrs Williams lived until she was 96, and she LOVED that song. Even at the end in the nursing home, she still wanted me to sing that song. I'm so blessed to have known her all those years. She's resting in the arms of Jesus, and I know she's safe. Hallelujah!
Continue Resting in Eternal Peace Jessy. Your beautiful voice will never be silenced as long as we have these powerful videos. What an inspirational singer.
He sang thT song from his soul. Just fantastic. Soooooooo handsome a perfect specimen 😊😊😊😊😊😊 I know he's singing with God's angels. I love this man.. he fills my heart with the Holy Spirit. RIP WITH ALL MY LOVE. JESSY.
Jessy is a class act. He brought dignity to Gospel. Beautiful dresser. Handsome man. As he got older he never aged. RIP dear Jessy. I miss you. Love you always.
I love Jessy and I never got to see him as a young man, but he is the only best Gospel Singer ever and he is definitely in Heaven for the way he sings about God and the way he has blessed people who have known him for all his songs and how he makes his lyrics to be able to speak to everyone in their lives. I'm so thankful that God gave us the privilege of the things that he sings about God and the Lord and the hope you and I love, and the Joy, Peace we will have in the next Life. As he sings I am lifted up in the spirit. We miss you but we'll see you in Heaven one day soon.
I remembr sining this song in church yrs ago it brings back memories . He sings the song like ive never heard it done before. Made me cry a lot of tears.
Jessy you are the greatest gospel singer ever. The older you got ; the better you got. You turned my life around with your songs. I could understand what you were saying. Love you forever and see you in God's choir. RIP dear Jessy.

September 26, 2011 was a truly sad day for us. It took this long for me to comment on it without feeling extremly sad to the point of anger. Seems like there was so many choices, why him, but my brother who is older by 3 minutes seems to have more understanding about the workings of G O D than I and assured me there must have been a reason. So I vow to always remember Jessy and no one can take that away from me, not even G O D.... Tsk Youyousova
As I listen to Jessy Dixon PRAISING God in his soulful, spirit- filled music ministry, and it started early and continued for over 50 years, it's a wonder that God didn't Call his Name earlier. What more could Jessy do to spread the Gospels through his sung- preached words, bringing so many to Christ and preparing them for the Kingdom to also be able. "...to sit at His feet and be Blessed". I believe that Jessy was Called after he had "finished all the work of the service of the house of the Lord...." Having said all of that, I truly regret not being able to have been acquainted with him and his ministry much sooner and not being able to be in his presence when he was performing. But I have to keep my Faith and Trust in God Who brought us here in the first place, and Who has a place "In Bright Mansions Above" prepared for those who Believe on Him and in the resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. For Jesus told his disciples, " I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, you may be also. If it were not so, I would have told you." Hallelujah! In Jeremiah 1:5, God told him that He knew him before He formed him in his mother's womb. So Jessy was all right here on Earth, and he's all right in the Heavenly places, still being kept in God's Eternal Care. HALLELUJAH!! I hope to meet him there!
What a singing sensation Jessy was! Unexcelled!! Continue to Rest Well until we ALL meet "In That Great Gettin' Up Morning". Hallelu! Hallelujah!! O what a day of rejoicing that will be! Hallelujah some more!!!
Thank you for posting this song. I remeber as a child my mother playing this song by Brother Joe Mays, who wrote it. Jesse DIxon really sings this song.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL FOR OPERATION? Well do you remember that SHOT the nurse gives you just before you are off to operating room? Well that's what this song makes up feel like, lol Everything feels so GOOD, lol coming up like roses. ... Work it Jesse!!!!!!!
Isn't it so sad how todays "Gospel" celebration has a completely different feel? In short, the spirit is virtually gone,as these artists move more toward entertainment! So sad!
Well Bro. Jesse you have made it on in to sing right in the Heavenly chorus, what a lead voice for that choir up there. May the Lord bless your memory and we will forever cherish all the music you left us and how you ministered. My prayers go out to his family.
Thank you for posting this I used to go to his concerts when I was in my teens he still seems the same age as then many years later. It's too late now for me to turn around and go back some other way
I just heard about Jessy Dixon's passing and was shocked and sadden to hear of his homegoing. In the 60's he had a song entitled "I will never turn back no more" and if there is anyone who can help me get a recording of this song i would really appreciate it. I believe the Chicago Community Choir was his back up on this song. I have followed him for a long time and always enjoyed his singing. Thanks to anyone who can help me find this song or would post it on you tube.
Have mercy!!!!! Jessy Dixon, Billy Preston, and James Cleveland. Does anyone know who was on bass and drums? This is some powerful, soulful mixture of gospel and blues. I LOVE it!!!!!!!
@@katefranklin5978 So!? Albertina Walker, Shirley caesar, Clara Ward, Josephine Howard, Alex Bradford who wrote this song too. Yet their music blessed us and still is today.
