The language is Italian, not French, despite the French opening credits.

Funny how even the fans in the crowd were doing it back then in 1938 and some of the people looked pretty important.
Nice of Alan to have kept it going in the 90s and 2000s (he must have watched this official film when he was a little boy).

It seems amazing that Brazil was so confident of winning their semifinal that they rested their top players. That level of arrogance just dares fate to shoot you down. It doesn't matter who you're up against, if they made it to the semi, then they're going to be a tough squad, and they need to be respected. And to do it against the cup holders (and recent Olympic gold medalists) just seems insane. What could they possibly have been thinking?

Because Argentina was the original choice and was angry that France was chosen and also not keeping the continental rotation
Moving through the ocean was expensive. Also Europe America rotation principal was not applied. However Brazil went with no problems
