As a saba fan, this was different than how I thought the album would be... but no complaints, its a super dope project. Next comes JID, cant wait for The Forever Story.
For sure
Seriously it’s very different from care for me but different ain’t bad
I’m most hyped for Melt My Eyez See Your Future
This album was a pleasant surprise
This album made me a Saba fan, had heard verses here and there, but now I'm gonna check out his catalogue. (Also Smino is a feature killer, never misses)
elite album, was pleasantly surprised because i wasn't the biggest fan of the singles, but the rest of the album definitely delivered
his singles were really different, especially stop that, i think he purposely got those out first so you would be surprised in a good way, which i think i can speak for most when i say we were
so glad yall reacted to this, its not getting as much love as it deservers
This album makes me feel nostalgic for a time I never experienced
For real bro reminds me of my early years playing in the park outside my house without worries
Man heard elongated peaceful silence and said "this shit fire" lolol, but he wasn't wrong at all.
Facts, in the NPR interview on the listening party, Daoud said they played around with silence a lot on the album
@@mannyadewale8732 oh for real? I need to peep that interview. Listening/thinking back, that makes sense. There were quite a bit of paused moments in the tracks, shifts, and slow quiet areas...
I think I'll relisten to the album after peeing that interview. Kinda just want to observe those moments and the pacing more.
@@altart8102 if you need the link, here it is! I lowkey wanna go back and watch it again and relisten to the album too

Prince, February 2022 - “There’s songs bro, and then there’s music.”
Real talk.
💯💯
I was expecting something so different that on my first listen I didn’t know how to feel, but after second listen man I love this album so much. It’s sunny day riding in the car music. Or even Wednesday cleaning the house music.
best way to describe it
yeah it’s something that deserves to be on vinyl
factsssss
This album is fresh change of pace and with every listen you get a new perspective from it...Saba made another amazing album🔥🔥🔥🙏🏽
Great Album, so glad y’all did the reaction, haven’t seen many on YT. This one getting spinned heavily all spring/summer❗️
Beautiful album start to finish, don’t know why people were expecting another Care For Me tbh. This album was a beautiful dialogue about the black experience and life in general
One think that is dope about this album is that as a whole, if you let the album play through in 1 go, it flows so well and there are some fire beat transitions between songs. Like on come my way and still.
Man I just love how you guys evaluate music. I love Saba so much and it’s lovely to see other people glean the same things from his music as I do. He just makes you feel good it hits different.
The production of this album is beautiful
I love the way ya'll LISTEN to music. You guys always pay attention to everything going on. And I love your energy. Super happy ya'll reacted to this album.
Been waiting to see if y'all would do this. So happy y'all did, and I am loving this album.
YALL CAUGHT BARS THAT WENT OVER SO MANY HEADS
Listening to this album for a fourth time today and reading along some of the lyrics I realized a theme he drags throughout the album perfectly: Being rich is NOT essentially one of the few good things.
When he moves into his new house in Cali, which is on a one way street, he goes back in Survivor’s Guilt, Fearmonger and Come My Way and realizes what got him into this new house on a one way street, was his one way street way of thinking money would solve everything. In Still and Soldier he remembers that he actually has had a few good things for a long time, whilst dealing with the plenty bad throughout his life. He reminisces upon a lot of good things in his past while being broke back then on a lot of the further tracks.
The reason why If I Had A Dollar sticked out to me so much, is the fact that he now is rich enough for his new life in a financial sense but if all the failures on his journeys added up to the money he would in fact be rich. Becoming rich was connected with dealing with a whole lot of losses. But the few good things that really came to him are not connected to being rich but have already happened in the past (e.g. 2012 as in the song) and the one way street towards his wealth and fame itself came with a few good things being the memories
this is an amazing comment
Amen
I had to go back and read this comment again cuz it's fire 🔥
love that y'all got to this one so quickly, this gotta be my aoty so far. Great progression after a heavy album like Care for Me
I just started listening to saba like 2 weeks ago this guy music is absolutely beautiful. I really love this album!
This is AOTY for me as well, so far. It moved Dawn FM. This album went over Fantano's Melon Head, SO HARD.
so did bucket list and care for me, bro is sleeping
“There’s songs then there’s music” Prince 👑
the last few tracks had me straight up just staring into space in bliss
This album is fire. I need to get more listens in but damn. He's one of my favorite artists. Got emotional when I saw it dropped.
Love y’all! Genuine reaction 🤌🏾 this album is some fresh air, so cool
Saba albums, even the pivot gang album, all are nostalgic to me. I'm gonna be listening to this one A LOT and I can see it being the same way after some time
You guys make experiencing music so enjoyable, y'all my favorites fr, God bless.
This album sounds like waking up on a Sunday summer morning to the sun beating on your face while you can hear the birds chirping
I love this album so much. Fearmonger is an experimental track for Saba but it really works for me. Soldier is definitely my fav track. 9/10 album.
I’ve been listening on repeat all week. That Black Thought verse was perfection.
As weve been in the middle of a couple really good years for hip hop releases, this is still the album that sticks with me the most. Saba really is one of the best rappers already, so excited for whatever else he drops in the future
Saba always hits. His flow and lyrical content is amazing. Ya'lls reactions are always on point... Don't overhype and over-react and catch bars so quick.
Glad y’all made this, if I didn’t see it it was gon be on site
we don’t want no smoke 🤝
Look forward to hearing yall reacts more than anyone else. Keep up the solid work! Bout to go rude thru this album 🔥
this album is amazing
I loved Come My Way. wasn’t a fan of Fearmonger but it grew on me with the listening of this album. This is my album of the year. And for me one of my favorite albums ever.
i love you saba, i love you vibevilla
Love!
2012 resonates deep
You guys are some of the coolest reactors on UA-cam. Just chill af lol.
WE HERE
as always dope reaction guys and btw that Vince Carter T crazy bro
Glad someone else was as hyped as me when I say the 6lack smi featured song. Now just gotta wait for 'life 4 rent' to drop
To explain “Survivor’s Guilt”, Saba was technically rapping off beat, but his flows was changing. Bringing in G Herbo fit the tone and also he been doing that off beat flow since he first came out
So I guess the real question is….when y’all reacting to that John Woo Flick with Con,Benny, and Westside???👀
Saba is favorite waited so long for this & WE ATE. 🙏
ATE!!
my friend told me that this album was mid then i listened to it and im like nah he must have heard something else lol
lol he just ain’t heard it the way you did. Far from mid for us!
That Em Living Proof line, Bad Meets Evil have a song called Living Proof as well
Imagine an andre 3000 verse on soldier
Second verse on soldier is fire. He’s keeping the soldier narrative going. But instead of being a soldier in Chicago he may have been able to be a soldier for America…. But his reality at the moment thanks to Saba is that he is becoming a star.. so he would technically be a star in the desert at war.
this also refers to how the armed forces target the poor to join their ranks. this is why the slave lines are relevant.
I haven't heard him until now,I finally got something new to listen to now
Care for me is a classic album 🔥🔥 u gotta listen to it if you haven't
@@TheDizzleMan Okay Niiiiice 🔥cool bro I'm going to check it out now Thanks man
@@TheDizzleMan oh wow, I just subscribe Saba and I must be late lmaooooof 🤣
@@kingdom7217 Update after you listen bro I’m telling its a GOAT album🔥
@@oneoffnate Ok Aight no prob homie
This album was best on the year for me. Maybe best rap album in past 5 years. So underrated.
Denzel done drop some fire. Kendrick just dropped, and this still the AOTY.
Still is just crazy
Y’all should’ve still listened to fearmonger cuz in the context of the album I liked it a lot more than I did originally
This album is amazing the last 3 tracks back to back to back is crazy 😂
Loved this video, thx from a Dutch white saba fan
lmao i ddint like fearmonger either, definitely growing on me in context with the album though
I'm glad you guys enjoyed this as much as i did!
This album was amazing 🌟
Aye man… we need the Smino reactions for his catalog lol most underrated artist out
dope video as always y’all, keep up the good work 👍🏼

One of the AOTY
Yeah,...i jus kept running n2 joints i thought i'd skip,..was stuck tripping in a good way,..fiye project
Bro heard stillness and said "this shit fire", word though😭
Fire
NOT EQUATING THEM AT ALL, but don’t you think Saba’s flow and voice on Soldier is similar to 3 stacks?
I need a collab tape from 6lack and Smino
i love fearmonger
One Way is my SOTY so far
You pushing P “potentially placed” 🤣🤣🤣
Where is Saba from?
Definitely under rated but the real rap fans know though
A simpler time.... all IMA say is that Monte Booker is the Goat.
as a musician, i call this downbeatdisplacement. basically its the technique of highlighting certain aspects of the track by making sure the entrance of that line is clear and if you leave his entrance on the same exact beat as the bass/drums/backups, it doesnt sound as defining. I hear a lot of rappers that use this, it definitely is a small hack to elevate production imo
"How to impress god" recrion on the way?
AYO WHERE THE THE WEEKND REACTION
Benjamin earl actually reminded me Kendrick
@VibeVilla you guys should react too Van Gogh by JID and Lil Yachty
ya'll have some nice headphones, but isn't the beanie ruining the sound quality?
