Ken Jones also played a prisoner in the serious play Three Clear Days with Rita Webb, George Sewell and many other familiar faces, about the death penalty. On youtube too.
@@martinholmes-ue9ko @martinholmes-ue9ko indeed yes... 'Orrible Ives! 🤣 In the film as well as the tv series. He also popped up in Coronation Street circa 1970. He appeared in so many things - even when he is being not so pleasant or likeable I find he is always a welcome presence onscreen.😎
Great to see this- some real rarities on this channel. How about one of the surviving episodes of Girls About Town, starring Denise Coffey and Julie Stevens (ATV 1969-71)?
Never seen this before. A good comedy from Granada tv . Just about the time nearest and dearest started
Been searching for this show for years - Many thanks!
Great in porridge 2 ❗️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻✅
Thanks for posting this. I can remember it (just) but could never think of the name of the series!!
The only surviving episode out of 2 series.
It's Farmer Biggins and Horrible Ives! Two years before I was born.
I was 1 year old when this was broadcast, thank god for that!

That sounds very interesting - I will watch it... thank you for the tip!
He was also a convict in PORRIDGE.

Three clear Sundays was the play.

Never heard of this but looks really good - and interesting to me as a pretty big fan of Porridge. 😀Thank you for the upload!
This was the first sitcom on British tv set in a prison: NOT Porridge. Everybody asked that question in pub quizzes always gets that wrong.
Two appeared in Porridge
Shades of Porridge?
Ken Jones played Orrible Ives in Porridge.😅😊
Jack Smethurst
I love how he dumped the used tea leaves over the prisoner who was hiding in the dust bin. I thought that there was tea bags in 1968
My parents only bought loose leaf tea till the 2000's...
Tea bags have been around since 1903. But even today, some people prefer to brew from loose tea.
Roy Baraclough in a small role.
Same Governor from Porridge?
Yes, apparently only for the second series, the first series the governor was played by Wensley Pithey apparently.
Horrible Ives!
Awful , just because it's old it doesn't make it funny
well said user
