    Hi Goose, Ive noticed of late that Sumokoin has been the most profitable coin for AMD to mine, by a large margin sometimes, but no one seems to be talking about it. Just wanted to sew the seed ;) Good work as always

    I just switched over to awesome miner two days ago and you’ve been my go to guy for tutorials and troubleshooting. But, it seems like awesome miner actually produces less of a profit than Nicehash.
    I know two days isn’t much to go on, but as things stand now my 9x 1080 setup is only getting around $12 per day on AM while Nicehash gets me $14.5. And AM shows higher profits per day but the balances don’t come close to backing that up.
    I also regret starting to use zpool and AHashPool because I realized too late that they both have much higher payouts than Nicehash.
    Mostly I’m just curious why so many people recommend AM over NiceHash when it seems like it really isn’t more profitable. Any help would be much appreciated. Keep up the solid videos.

      AM is more about flexibility for mining whatever you want. You can tailor it to only mine certain coins. This might be beneficial if you want to prevent the GPU from mining something less profitable. That might explain the variance in profit. Also, keep in mind that NiceHash is always giving the best case scenario, whereas Awesome Miner is providing an estimate based on real-time info from whattomine.com Which is more accurate? It's hard to tell for sure, but within $1-2/day is pretty close. Perhaps you can setup your AM to stick with Equihash, Lyra2REv2, and Ethash coins to try and maximize your profits. I've found tailoring the pools really helps. You can do the same with NiceHash by disabling other algorithms that aren't as profitable. See what works best.

    Great Video as always!! One thought is related to a previous video on Dual Mining Raven and Pigeon Coin, it would be great to also see that setup done with Awesome miner instead of a batch file. (if that is possible). Thanks!

      Oh, I havent forgotten, but I'm not 100% convinced that it is feasible to do...I noticed a tremendous number of rejected shares when I ran both overnight. Once I have some more stable settings to share, I'll put together a video.

    • @GooseTech

      If I did, it was to prove a point. I don't use that method of profit switching; I created my own custom pool group and run it exactly how I showed in the video.

    People have asked me to do a video or something involving being able to mine to certain addresses, example: people wanted to mine to the XMR dono address through awesome miner things like that. Instead of me doing the video, you know a little more then I do about awesome miner, like using nanopool, setting the address up in the worker line, then what? that's what I wanted to relay to you. anyways regards - SM

    Great vid goose, I am almost Awesome expert now... 1 Question though, how to find the best mining software for your preferred coin? For example, Zcash. How could I find which miner works best for it, without downloading and trying them all? Cheers.

    • @GooseTech
      @GooseTech  6 років тому

      Most of the coin websites recommend certain miners. If not there, then typically the pools themselves have links to miners. I try to find recommended miners from either of those sources.

    Goose I am big fan of your channel. Please keep going... And now a question :-)? Can you help me ? What is the best mining software for c 11 algo. I read it is cc alexsis 78 1.0. In awsomw miner there is x86 version. Will that work with 64x win 10? I tried it is a bit unstable. Tnx

    • @GooseTech
      @GooseTech  6 років тому

      Thanks so much! The x86 version will always work in a 64bit OS, it's the other way around that won't work. If it's unstable, you might want to check your GPU core and memory clocks. That's usually the culprit.

    Hey Goose...A follow up question on Awesome Miner...Both of my miners are setup exactly the same and have been operating 100% normal...Starting yesterday I noticed that my Profit Switching did not keep up to the most profitable coin when before it switched perfectly keeping the most profitable coin in play but no more....?? Did some google search as well as looking on Awesome Miner website...Any idea?

    • @GooseTech
      @GooseTech  6 років тому +1

      Could be something screwy with WTM. You might want to check your update intervals. There's been a lot of volatility as of late, especially in the Equihash coins (due to the new Z9 ASIC).

    I was waiting for this video. I switched from MPH to Suprnova simply because they have a 0 payout fee and I mined more coins over a 5 day period on Suprnova. The problem I have have with AwesomeMiner is that the mining software does not start up my GPU. I have it set on profit switching between ZEC, ZEN and ZCL using Claymore Zcash miner. If I use the software seperately, all is 100% and my GPU is kicking out hashes. With awesome miner I get 0 hs/sec. I tried everything. Do you have suggestions? Thnks for the great vid !!

    • @artin1641
      @artin1641 6 років тому

      Jaco Breedt you should use DSTM you would get more hashes with NVIDIA cards

    • @jacobreedt6383
      @jacobreedt6383 6 років тому

      I have an AMD. I tried different miners and Claymore seems to give me the highest hash rate and most shares submitted. I just can't get it working on AwesomeMiner.

    I guess you could do this also for two profit miners by using user defined profit profiles.
    I have not tested it but would imagine it to go something like this.
    Assume you have two cards, one (dev 0) good for algos X and Y and one (dev 1) good for algos Y and Z.
    1. Set up a pool group with the coins (using algos X, Y and Z) that you want to include. Let’s call this pool group XYZ-poolgrp.
    2. Create one profit profile for X and Y - make sure only X and Y algo are enabled (uncheck the rest). Also uncheck the miners you do not want. Let’s call this profit profile XYprofile
    3. Create another profit profile for Y and Z - make sure only Y and Z algo are enabled (uncheck the rest). Also uncheck the miners you do not want. Let’s call this profit profile YZprofile
    4. Create two new profit miners (let’s call one XYMiner and one YZMiner)
    5. For the XYMiner :
    a. Chose profit profile = XYprofile
    b. add the appropriate command line command to choose only dev 0
    6. For the YZMiner :
    a. chose profit profile = YZprofile
    b. add the appropriate command line command to choose only dev 1
    7. In Options > Profit Switching choose Custom Pool = XYZ-poolgrp (pool group defined in step 1)
    Since the XYMiner is limited to the X and Y algos via the proifit profile, this should force the XYMiner to Profit Switch only between Coins defined in the XYZ-poolgrp using X and Y algos.
    Should work - in theory - but needs to be checked in practice, which I will do when I have the possibility.

    • @mattssporre4948
      @mattssporre4948 6 років тому +1

      It worked, with the addition that in each profit profile, for each miner I had to set “-d 0” or “-d 1” to choose the card per profit profile.
      I “simulated” change in profitability by changing power consumption for a certain algo “on the fly” just to see that Awsomeminer actually switched. Also changed the Profit Switching interval to 1min and Profit Switch Threshold to 1% (just to force faster switching while checking).
      I had two Profit Miners running at the same time, one switching between ETH and ZEC, the other switching between ZMR and ZEC.

    • @GooseTech
      @GooseTech  6 років тому

      This is great info. Thanks for posting your results here. To satisfy my own curiosity, did you set a custom pool group or are you using one of the other profit switching sites?

    • @mattssporre4948
      @mattssporre4948 6 років тому

      You are welcome! Glad to give back! I defined a custom pool group in Awesome miner by checking the three pools I defined (XMR-MPH, ZEC-MPH and ETH-MPH).

    • @mattssporre4948
      @mattssporre4948 6 років тому

      and then under Options -> Profit Switching I checked "Custom pools" (unchecked all the others) and chose my pool group from the drop down menu.

    Working on a new 12 GPU Rig what would you recommend mining with it as i looked over what to mine and it changes day to day just want it to start earning for ROI

    • @GooseTech
      @GooseTech  6 років тому +1

      Profit switching is one of the fastest ways to get your ROI. If you want to get a bit more speculative, you can dedicate a few GPUs to new coins so you can bank a boatload of coins early on and hodl for a possible Moonshot.

      I keep forgetting about crypt0.zone. haha Thanks for posting this. I really like this site. The reason I tend to skip it is becuase AM had the option to use the JSON files from whattomine.
