Why have I never thought of sewing my own pride flag instead of buying? It is actually really easy. 🤷🏻♀️
right?! i just really wanted a cotton flag which aren't too common to come by so i made my own! i am in the process of sewing four more different pride flags for a future video as well, they are so easy!
Im thinking about doing this but im deep inside the closet so idk what to do 🥺👉👈
maybe you could make something that is less of a flag and more of a tapestry, something quilt-like in construction. and it could be made with squares or crazy shapes instead of the long rectangle stripes. you could use different fabrics in rainbow colors or patterns with rainbows on them. making something like that would still be full of pride for you but would just be something pretty to onlookers.

I have the "bear" flag hanging on my front door. The local pride center has a parade rainbow flag, after some years of being dragged in parades, it developed tears, I took my portable sewing machine and pinched the tears together and sewed them shut. It took an army of people to unroll the flag for repairs. I wasn't the original maker.
I just came to yt that is it okay to make a flag on your own cause I can't buy one my parents wouldn't allow me they will ask me bundle of questions which I am not ready to answer rn!!!

i would love to make more pride flags! i'm in a show right now so i don't have much time for sewing, but we film this week so i'll have more time soon. more flags are definitely on my list, including the pansexual flag!

thanks for the video! i'm making trans flags for TDOV. while it seems pretty easy to make flags, because they're just made out of straight pieces of fabric, it's always nice to have something visual. and i didn't think too much about the seams, but french seams are a very good idea :)
i will also make other flags in the future, to replace my crappy plastic ones, to make ones i still need, and to make all the flags for my all my queer siblings 💜

But anyway, where I live, there's no place for me to buy bisexual flags or any sort of things that make me feel happy, represented and secure.
