    Hi Anthony & Roxanne
    Anthony,.
Don't feel like the lone ranger on the plumbing.
I've watched several other videos this week and they were having problems figuring out their plumbing set up also
    Thank God for UA-cam.
Roxanne and the rest of us have the confidence you'll figure it out
Roughing everything in and having a plumber check it before gluing everything is always a smart thing to do.
    Roxanne
Happy to see your flower and garden projects are doing good.
    Glad your keeping Tank comfortable.
Will be back around to see what you two are up to next.
    Stay strong and safe

The idea of a plumber checking the lines before y’all connect it all is smart. Y’all are very smart and brave but it’s always best to get a professional to give the OK . That would bring you peace of mind. Always working hard and always got a lot to do. Rest for the rest of the day and enjoy some down time. Take care until next time.

Tip - when you finish dry fitting the run, take a magic marker and draw a line from on fitting to the next so when it is time to glue it up it all fits just like the dry run.

*** Before you detach your dry fit to glue it, because it is twisted into a very precise position, take a marker and draw a line across the two pieces to glue. That way once you glue, you twist to where the lines line up. I hope this makes sense. Good luck!

Fresh eggs are hard to peel.
if you let them set for a few days before boiling to eat, they will peel easier. Fresh eggs can also set out for awhile as long as they haven't been washed. Nothing better than farm fresh eggs🥚

I wanted to share with you, advice I received from my best friends mother in law about 10 years ago. I was peeling farm fresh eggs to make deviled eggs and she asked if she could give me a tip to get them to peel easier. These eggs were boiled on the stove then got an ice bath. She then showed me to tap the top and bottom of the egg on the counter, then turn it on its side and roll it back and forth until the shell is all cracked. The the magic tip, was to slip the tip of a spoon (the end you eat off of) under the shell and they pop right off. I now do this every time I peel boiled eggs and I rarely have eggs that stick to the shell and tear apart. It took me a minute to not dig the spoon into the flesh of the egg white. I am now 55 yrs old and proof you can teach an old dog new tricks! Another new way to cook hard “boiled” eggs I’ve learned recently is that you can put whole eggs in an air fryer, cook them then put in a water bath.
I enjoy watching your all’s videos…because you two are always working together on things. And you are constantly reminding people you aren’t professional but you do research to try to do the best possible job.

  • @AuntDi

I ALWAYS, roll the hard boiled eggs on the counter, until the shell is really small. Peel off the top and take a small “regular” spoon and and run it inside of the shell and it comes off so clean!!! ❤️

It's stressful doing work like that when you've never done it before not to mention that it us challenging and hard work.
FYI, Dutch from Keeping it Dutch channel is building his own home and he did his own plumbing before the concrete was poured, but he had a license plumber come out and just check it before the concrete was poured. He had to fix like 2 things. So like you said I would have a plumber just look at it first. I am so proud of all of you homesteaders building your own homes and growing all your own gardens, raising animals and chickens. Your children will all be better people because of your choices. God Bless💗💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Just my 2 cents worth, take the 4x2 tee that's looking toward the ground and put in line with the main line with the 2" part looking up toward the shower . Run your shower line to the 2" and then put a short piece of 4" in the end of the tee and install a plug for a clean out if ever needed.

After she passed away I kept up with bringing them to her. I find it difficult to grow them out here so I know that I plan on moving closer or in town and I will try again. In the meantime I will enjoy through you!! You're doing a fantastic job on getting your plumbing installed & smart idea of having it checked out! Your garden looks great. The store bought onion has bolted. That means all the energy is going to produce seeds. Do not cut off the seed pod. So just know it will not produce an onion to eat. Leave it in the pot and let it flower. It will produce so many seeds that you can plant.

You might try getting a rain barrel and painting it black. Set it up outside the kitchen and pipe it into the sink with a simple valve. The black paint will cause the water to absorb heat. I would also look into a tankless water heater. It is easy to install, takes up very little space and can be electric or gas fed. This way, when you need hot water it comes on. When you turn off the tap it is not running.

Rosanne before your next planting , get a soil test kit from your home extension office and see what minerals you are missing and find out if you have enough nutrients . If you are going to put in the time and expense then you want the best soil . My son replanted the grass at his house 3 times and grass was just not growing . I asked him if he had the soil tested . He told me no . I told him that is where you went wrong . Feed your soil the your grass will grow .

The trick to pelling boiled eggs, is to do it while they are still hot. You only want to slid them fast under cold running water for a second, just long enough to be able to bare to hold them and pell them fast while they are still hot. I promise this will change your life. My grandma taught me this trick and you also only want to crack the shell at the pointed tip end, because there is an air bubble under the pointed tip of the egg and the whole shell will basically fall off as one should piece.

When I use my Instant Pot for my eggs, I put them on the rack so they are above the water and put 1.5 cups of water in and pressure cook for 2 minutes, Natural Release for 5 minutes. I put them in cold ice water, I crack the rounded end against the bowl and them sit in the water for another 10 minutes. Easy to peel and no green line around the yolk.

You are correct about the drop of 1/4" per foot. Any more than that and the pee outflows the turds. And less and the turds stall. Always make memory marks on the pipes as you go. This way after dry fitting is done the marks will show where things line up. One of the biggest mistakes rookies make is getting the direction of flow in branches or splits in backwards. Before you glue just mentally think of say flushing the toilet and follow the path and make sure there are no goofs. Also, don't forget the penetration plates.

Plumbing looking good, here's a tip on the subject of pealing eggs, have you ever noticed how easily eggs whose shells have cracked on boiling peel, to the others, that's because when you put them in cold water it gets between the shell and the egg, all you have to do is recreate the same with the other eggs, so when cooked pour off the boiling water, then shake the eggs around in the pan till you have cracked the shells, add the cold water, and strain again (this takes most of the heat away) cover once again with cold water and put to one side, after 5-10 mins change water again as it will be warm, when ready to peal, keep dipping the eggs in the cold water as you peel to remove the small bits of shell, and you are done, this method I learn't in the catering trade where hundreds of eggs were peeled throughout every day, it's that simple.

Hi guys! I love your videos. I'm the retired chicken rancher who with my late husband had 1.5 million hens. We raised them from day old chicks. Usually they will begin to lay at around 22 weeks of age. I also recently had backyard chickens because I love chickens. I gave my flock of 10 hens 5 nesting boxes to lay in. 99% of the time all the eggs were laid in only one box. Sometimes I would go in the barn to find two hens trying to lay their eggs together in one box. It was a tight fit. LOL.
The dust baths are good for them. It helps keep mites away. My hens would make holes so deep that all you could see was their head and neck. It was so funny. Peeling eggs, what I always did was use the oldest eggs in my kitchen and save the freshest for fried, scrambled and omelets. I've never tried using my Instant pot.

If you want to raise the drain use ys instead of combos and come down at a 45deg instead of a 90 and don’t forget to vent your drain for for each fixture.

You'll need laying mash. They'll find the boxes, golf balls you can put in the boxes.

@ Country Road Cure Where you had to push the walls forward for plumbing are you going to now add shower cutouts (shelves) for shampoo and things?

If you leave your eggs for about two weeks then hard boil you won’t have any problem peeling them.
