You can get adult palatal expansion which is a surgical techniques. I don't teach about surgical techniques on my channel because my channel is for general and pediatric dentists and I personally believe that's outside their scope of practice and these cases should be referred to an orthodontist and oral surgeon for interdisciplinary treatment. There are some MASSIVE side effect that can happen if not done properly, Same goes for any REMOVABLE adult appliances that "claim" to do this. I am not going to mention this company by name because the company I am thinking of is litigious and stalks me so I'll be blocking any comments that move the needle in that direction of the cult
EXCELLENT QUESTION! they make you buy invisalign first simultaneously to expand the lower- OR you deliver a regular metal or schwartz expander at the same time from a local lab ua-cam.com/video/TSTf1pdN9jo/v-deo.html
I think for adults everyone not need to surgical because my have you it when my jar change my warld with harder aligner, aand everything okey just I have molecules significant now .. i buy that aligner at online shop
that's what they say- I am going to take the course next week which supposedly goes over the literature. My concerns are here- ua-cam.com/video/1Fub--_XQ9s/v-deo.html
Any update? Did you take the course? My 7 year old has already done a schwarz but made his gummy smile much worse. He needs another expander and wondering if this would be a good option to control the gummy smile during expansion
@@EmilieHulwick Gummy smile can't be "controlled" by expansion- you need to find the source - I recommend consulting an OMT ua-cam.com/video/_H_WmF9h1gM/v-deo.html
I understand that and already done a lot of OMT. We need more expansion to make nasal breathing easier and for OMT to be more successful. The schwarz REALLY increased the vertical on my child so looking for the best expander to prevent as much vertical as possible. Curious if invisialign expander might be a good option for that
Any updates on this? Like it's silence from Align - definitely interested.
Nope. nothing yet- it's FDA approved now both in the US and canada but hasn't been launched yet- in the meantime you can just do a regular expander?
Hello! Do you think this would ever become available to adults? And is there a non-surgical option for palette expansion for adults?

I don't quite understand what you're saying here but I am glad you are happy with your smile
are they claiming this provides SKELETAL expansion not just dental expansion?
