This was really helpful for me to understand my own clincheck! I could have waited to ask my orthodontist (because I forgot to when I reviewed it with him) but glad this video exists! Thankss
1. I have seem some amazing cases from Ivan Malagon and Diego Peydro using Spark. They don't think Invisalign works as well. 2. Movements have to cross a threshold before the AI puts them on, e.g. 0.5mm will get an attachment, but 0.4mm no attachment. I am uncomfortable with this, so am often inclined to put an attachment on every tooth. Apart from difficulty removing aligners (I account for this by bevelling my horizontal attachments appropriately), can you ever have too many attachments? 3. Apart from the root control attachments, I much prefer to use conventional attachments because the active surface can be made larger. There is also more surface area for bonding, so they rarely come off. Thankfully my cohort of patients don't complain about their size/position. I prepare them beforehand. I do lots of other procedures, so I don't need the picky ortho patients who dictate how things are done.
