I swear to god every time I see the main character in a Dhar Mann video i believe shes just handed a script that has the word "CRY" written all in bold caps
The video was just so bizarre and painful to watch through. It feels like a Gen Hope fetish video all over again. The fact that they got a minor to do this makes it even weirder...
How is it like a fetish though? It just seems like it was meant to be bizarre and weird. Minors do get their periods who else would they get to act for this? Even if it is weird, it makes sense to get a child actor to play this role.
is... do people have parties about your first period? like i know dhar mann is insane but the video seems to not be recognizing how fucking insane the concept of broadcasting your first period is, and how kids in middle school for SURE wouldn't all be like "CONGRATULATIONS!!!", especially not the boys
I've gotten a few comments saying first moon parties ARE real, but aren't as grand as what's depicted. They're just small little get-togethers to destigmatize periods.
Only three minutes in to the Dhar Mann video and they're playing the touching music and having heartfelt moments. Where's the conflict??? Dhar Mann is distilling his videos down to emotional junk food, don't even need build up anymore.
I don’t know yet if he knows/mentions it or not, but the premise of this video was ripped off from a commercial and Dhar Mann copied it extremely poorly, especially because that commercial was meant to be funny and the mother set the party up on purpose as a way to get her daughter to confess her lie. The mother knew the period was fake because the lipstick her daughter used had glitter in it. It’s called First Moon Party. Update: He does.
i don't know how I missed this when it was posted, but this is fucking BIZZARE. it's like a Dhar Mann video with a Gen Hope script and 'Carrie' thrown in. I was so stricken with abject horror and disgust, I couldn't even laugh at the uterus piñata. (Also rest in peace Scoot, you will be dearly missed... )
This really doesn't show well on SS-Sniperwolf. She walked into a childs bedroom without knocking just ready to catch them doing something. From her perspective all the girl was doing was looking at how some trousers would fit her, but immediately shes accusational.
She really does come off like a creepy stalker in this, like she's an unironic adult just showing up at a highschool for no reason and she's just sneaking into her bedroom and trying to climb in through the window. Replace her with any grown man and it'd be pretty obvious just how weird and creepy this is.
@@poofballoon Oh, my mind is frazzled by all this Dhar Mann content. In every other video involving her and this main actor, she has been herself. I just assumed from the start that this was a continuation of that. After all in those videos she had unsolicited access to her school, so I thought she is just hanging around there now
I feel like im pretty hard to faze, like it takes quite a bit to shock me. This is a like a god damn horror movie and it took me beyond cringe into genuine discomfort with how the mother acted, because I can see people actually being like this. And that is more terrifying than any phobia.
Why do Dhar Man videos have the same "terrified uncomfortable" aura as an ari aster film? Like why did every scene with her mom remind me really hard of beau is afraid
This girl who's in all the Dhar Mann videos (and the 'movie') isn't too bad of an actress or at least seems to be able to show more emotional range than the other actors. I hope she branches off into her own thing and away from these shitty Cluster B motherfuckers (Dhar and Ssniperwolf) in the future
Adam and Scoot seemed to be similarly confused, but like, she's upset because 1. Everyone finding out via social media ruined the "reveal" she had planned at school 2. She was already upset with her mom for wanting to make a big deal out of every "accomplishment" she made online, so an over-the-top period party would be even worse Also, as they clumsily half-addressed in the skit itself, posting your child's period-stained clothing (real or not) without their permission is some next level "family blogger" invasion of privacy type of shit. So I think she deserved to be mad on principle tbh
I know this video is almost a year old now but it STILL baffles me. One part I'm not really seeing being mentioned is just, why do they make it feel like it's a BAD thing for the girl to feel embarrassed about the party which she had NO say in??? Like why does she HAVE to have a legitimate reason to feel embarrassed and want some privacy? People saying 'you don't have to be embarrassed' doesn't make that emotion suddenly go away; it's like telling someone who's depressed that they just shouldn't be depressed like it magically makes their depression disappear. If they ACTUALLY wanted to help the girl out they should've just stopped the party (not like it should've even happened in the first place, jesus christ) instead of just making her go out there anyway. I'm probably looking into this too much but god is it not a good message to show to the children that watch these videos that they have to go through the effort to justify their emotions like that. I'm so glad Adam tore into this shit. Also rest in peace, Scoot. You were fucking hilarious.
Them talking about Rat Race is making me wonder why Sardonicast hasn't done an episode on all the popular movies that featured Smash Mouth's "All Star" in honor of Steve Harwell's legendary contribution to internet meme culture.
I love how the narrative tension in this video is that the girl lied about having her period and not that the mother is clearly not mature enough to be a parent and that CPS nees to take her 15 and 31 year old daughters away from her...
Oh my god, I had completely repressed the memory of that commercial but the Dhar Mann video did seem weirdly familiar the whole time! That's actually a new low, copying a fucking commercial and turning it into some kind of deep life-changing moral. The commercial at least was comedic in tone.
First of all, and I'm being serious about this, the fact that the mom even shared the "period" on social media is embarrassing and disgusting, and it's also humiliating how she's desperately trying to fit in with the teens with how she's acting and second of all, a problem with modern Dhar Mann content (and it's an issue that AugustTheDuck pointed out) is that Dhar Mann is trying so hard to be like Disney Channel and/or Nickelodeon, where the live-action sitcoms have extremely over-the-top acting. Fuck, I'll admit that Dhar Mann content even has nearly the same style of humor as Nickelodeon and Disney Channel sitcoms
I like how in the helloflo vid The kid fakes the period shes like oh this splat looks like Florida and later on at the party they are just pinning the pads to clip art of The state of Florida
in what universe would a mom be this ecstatic over her daughter getting her first period. i'm not a parent myself but i'd imagine the standard reaction would be more like "oh jesus fucking christ here we go".
So, like most things in this video, the entire premise wasn't well conveyed to the audience at all. But I think I figured something out. The girl did wear the faked period pants to school and she was about to enact her plan. In the scene with the never-shown stairs, she was wearing a sweatshirt around her waist, which I think she was using to hide the stain from sight until she was ready. And she was about to remove the sweatshirt when her friends interrupted her. The cinematography of that entire scene is absolute garbage, and, for whatever reason, they chose to do a close up on her face as she looks down rather than actually show her beginning to untie the sweatshirt. But when her friends show up, there's a quick shot of her holding the sweatshirt sleeves, implying she untying it. From there, I can only imagine the issue is that she's upset about her weird mom stealing her thunder, because everything else still seemed to be going the way she wanted. Henry talked to her like she wanted, literally everyone was being super supportive, and she's not been exposed as a fraud. I guess she just really wanted to experience the first-hand embarrassment of getting her period in front of people.
This episode is so confusing. Its like they wanted to cram in multiple moral lessons to make the "pilot" stand out more but they all clash in a sloppy way to make it confusing

Sniperwolf wasn't the one "randomly showing up", that was her character Julia, the MC's big sister. Also she wasn't waiting outside her door, she was getting her lipstick back from her little sister. I don't like Sniperwolf but just wanted to inform you/others.
That commercial's acting and editing is like a breath of fresh air
its so funny too for example the scene wherr the child fakes the stain and says it looks like florida and later at the party there just pinning pads to clip art of florida
@@YMSHighlights so they likely don't have menstruation-themed mariachi, then? shame
Wait they're in 8th grade? So wtf is Doxxerwolf doing there?
Only three minutes in to the Dhar Mann video and they're playing the touching music and having heartfelt moments. Where's the conflict??? Dhar Mann is distilling his videos down to emotional junk food, don't even need build up anymore.
I could not have predicted where this goes........
The conflict is that Sssniperwolf is in the video
I don’t know yet if he knows/mentions it or not, but the premise of this video was ripped off from a commercial and Dhar Mann copied it extremely poorly, especially because that commercial was meant to be funny and the mother set the party up on purpose as a way to get her daughter to confess her lie. The mother knew the period was fake because the lipstick her daughter used had glitter in it. It’s called First Moon Party.
Update: He does.
This isn't even like the Lion King/Kimba controversy where it's just coincidental. Dhar Mann just copied this ad beat for beat!
Of course Dhar Mann would also love stealing content
All of Dhar Mann’s videos are stolen from movies and TV shows.
Bullshit, this is neo-Carrie, and I won't hear otherwise.
It's a pretty funny commercial
Oh they stole the whole idea? No wonder he had SSSniperwolf on
thanks Dhar Mann you made periods, which I was originally fine with, extremely uncomfortable
so ironic that Dhar Mann’s video featuring sssniperwolf steals content just like she does
The back-lighting at the Moon Party really adds to the hellish feeling that's felt through the whole video.
25:00 They're reading a Disney Princess picture book for like actual babies lmao
And 1984 by Orwell at the same time. If this were anyone else I would assume it was some kind of gag but you can't know with Dharr.
i don't know how I missed this when it was posted, but this is fucking BIZZARE. it's like a Dhar Mann video with a Gen Hope script and 'Carrie' thrown in. I was so stricken with abject horror and disgust, I couldn't even laugh at the uterus piñata. (Also rest in peace Scoot, you will be dearly missed... )
Scoot…missing you 💜💫✨
This really doesn't show well on SS-Sniperwolf.
That's just how she is in real life, she didn't even have to act
She's playing a CHARACTER, not herself. A big SISTER. Not weird at all.
@@poofballoon Oh, my mind is frazzled by all this Dhar Mann content. In every other video involving her and this main actor, she has been herself. I just assumed from the start that this was a continuation of that. After all in those videos she had unsolicited access to her school, so I thought she is just hanging around there now
Yea she's an ACTOR who is ACTING like she's not a CRIMINAL, guys. You're all just HATERS.
42:52 Fingers crossed Scoot watches more Dhar with Adam 😂
YAY another Adum shitting on Dhar Mann vid, been a while since the last!
This...this is the most f'd up thing I've ever seen.
I don’t get this. she wanted to show everyone she had her period, but gets mad that her mom showed everyone she got her period?
Adam and Scoot seemed to be similarly confused, but like, she's upset because 1. Everyone finding out via social media ruined the "reveal" she had planned at school 2. She was already upset with her mom for wanting to make a big deal out of every "accomplishment" she made online, so an over-the-top period party would be even worse
Also, as they clumsily half-addressed in the skit itself, posting your child's period-stained clothing (real or not) without their permission is some next level "family blogger" invasion of privacy type of shit.
Them talking about Rat Race is making me wonder why Sardonicast hasn't done an episode on all the popular movies that featured Smash Mouth's "All Star" in honor of Steve Harwell's legendary contribution to internet meme culture.
the amount of times ive had to pause to process the very literal amount of cringe is heart breaking because its just prolonging the experience
This is a slow progression of a terrifying fever dream. 😂😂
You forgot the lost generation, which is the group before the greatest.
Man, the turning red live action movie looks weird
I love how the narrative tension in this video is that the girl lied about having her period and not that the mother is clearly not mature enough to be a parent and that CPS nees to take her 15 and 31 year old daughters away from her...
Oh my god, I had completely repressed the memory of that commercial but the Dhar Mann video did seem weirdly familiar the whole time! That's actually a new low, copying a fucking commercial and turning it into some kind of deep life-changing moral. The commercial at least was comedic in tone.
exact same expirience i thought i was loosing it until that commercial played lmao
the mother is just actually insane
They made her fake her period because if she had a real period the algorithm would have nuked the video
Nope just got to the end and we got to watch her bleed in real time with twinkly music. Im out of ideas.
Sssniperwolf is literally my age, is clearly a grown-ass woman, looking like a sex doll, over here playing a highschooler. Im dead 💀
First of all, and I'm being serious about this, the fact that the mom even shared the "period" on social media is embarrassing and disgusting, and it's also humiliating how she's desperately trying to fit in with the teens with how she's acting
and second of all, a problem with modern Dhar Mann content (and it's an issue that AugustTheDuck pointed out) is that Dhar Mann is trying so hard to be like Disney Channel and/or Nickelodeon, where the live-action sitcoms have extremely over-the-top acting. Fuck, I'll admit that Dhar Mann content even has nearly the same style of humor as Nickelodeon and Disney Channel sitcoms
If HelloFlo is a side thing to HelloFresh that's quite possibly the funniest thing they could have done
This girl is going to leave the house at 17 and never speak to her mother again.
Sniperwolfs next collab with Dhar Mann should be titled "UA-camr doxxes her rival, INSTANTLY regrets it"
They give it away too soon but the HelloFlo at least has a good punchline.
The scenario of my Mom inviting everyone I know to celebrate me having my first period makes me uncomfortable as hell...
and I'm a boy.
How did Dhar Mann’s filmography pop off for the period party reveal
I like how in the helloflo vid The kid fakes the period shes like oh this splat looks like Florida and later on at the party they are just pinning the pads to clip art of The state of Florida
Is she the guy from 13 Reasons Why?
in what universe would a mom be this ecstatic over her daughter getting her first period. i'm not a parent myself but i'd imagine the standard reaction would be more like "oh jesus fucking christ here we go".
14:09 - oh damn, why does that clip seem so familiar? What’s it from?
Oh god this made me so uncomfortable. Fascinating that they thought this was a good idea. Keep up the awesome commentary and editing! ❤🌙
whenever i see her, i get the same uncanny valley dread whenever i see one of those botched taxidermy animal faces.
This episode is so confusing. Its like they wanted to cram in multiple moral lessons to make the "pilot" stand out more but they all clash in a sloppy way to make it confusing
As awful as the main Dhar Mann vid was, that commercial was pretty funny.
I love S.S. Colonel Sniperwolf
I was describing Rat Race to a friend and they were convinced I was making it up.
Did you get to the part when they make it on stage with smash mouth
I'm like 99% sure there is an actual DarhMann video based on "Skaterboy". I think I saw it on Jarvis Johnson DarhMann bingo
Desperately need an Adum & Pals style commentary for this full series once it's over.
That video was literally a MadTv sketch.
videos i can tell in SECONDS were written by someone who never had a period in high school . a mom taking a picture of her young daughters stained paints is actually fucking insane
Why do all these girls want a period?? I've never met a girl who wanted to have their period, it sucks lmao
Bro I love Adam but this was the worst DharMann video I've seen yet
Even his commentary can't help 😭😭😭😭
All the generations go by a letter but some generations got an additional name. Before the greatest generation was the lost generation.
The silent generation is called that because of the parenting style that was popular at the time - children should be seen not heard
