Tech like that head unit set up would be one of the first improvements to make to a 70 series. Expensive to begin with, this show how easy it is to bring 1984 into 2019. Convenience is one thing, but increased safety is big gain from this project.
That Nav unit alone $3600, thats certainly more expensive than I thought it would be. Glad you included the full costings including installation in the article :)
Hey Mazeezam yes that is an expensive unit we went all out on this car.. However there are a wide range of units that can fit this vehicle at much lower price points. You can see them here automotivesuperstore.com.au/audio-visual/head-units
@@automotive_superstore Thanks 😎I wish I was able to afford one of these Utes, I am however really pleased to see you can still upgrade modern or modernish headunits, it was a long time ago that I upgraded my audio system in my 1998 Ford Falcon, a car I no longer have, I did wonder for my current car which I am hoping to sell and the Ute I am hoping to buy as I can only ever afford the base model which rarely comes with a decent infotainment unit but I am able to save and get modifications done, I wasn't sure you could until seeing this series :)
@@automotive_superstore I wonder if you can tell me though, I think the modern digital speedo portion of the dash that has the gps mapping option is pretty darn fantastic and also much safer than having it in the usual mid-lower portion of the central dash, can that portion of the dash behind the steering wheel, speedo setup be fairly easily upgraded in say a 2017 Holden Ute VF Series II Auto? thats the Ute I am hoping to buy if I can sell my current car for enough.
@@MaZEEZaM As far as i am aware that area behind the steering is not something that any after market manufacturer touches as it's far to vehicle specific. It's worth remembering with these navigation units they have full voice commands and the screens are fairly large so they are very easy to use and keep your eyes on the road.
@@automotive_superstore great vid and installation 👍 In my country, Norway, all new Isuzu Dmax's comes with an Alpine X802D mulitimedia unit, everything being installed by the official Isuzu importer here. The unit installed in this vid must be awesome 😎 but really happy with the Alpine X802D system mounted in my 2018 Isuzu dmax Arctic Truck 35 Cheers!
This is what i hate about the 70 series.People buy them then think they are clever and start ripping the car apart and start from scratch rebuilding them
Cruisers are a joke, $80k for a gutless V8 shit box that you need to spend another $20k min on to have it up to spec as every other manufacturers base model dual cab.

Where has the exterior temperature gauge gone. That’s one thing I do like on my 2018, 79.
Where is the outside temp gauge now that the clock has gone.
Toyota upgraded the entertainment unit for the 2021 Landcruiser to a more modern one
I've been buying my consumables and various parts from Automotive Superstore for a few years now, always great service and pricing!
You guys fail to mention why you needed the door pods lol
As standard there are no speakers in the doors so there is not enough clearance for larger aftermarket speakers.
Automotive Superstore that’s one of the biggest hurdles when fitting aftermarket speakers into vehicles. The general public doesn’t understand this
@@wax333 For sure but we are always here to help :)
