    And this is the reason i always encourage everyone to support smaller youtube channels... You can clearly see that this is a comparison that is not sponsored by any company! I dont want to say that sabrent heatsink is bad but you can see so many reviews online which clearly show that all these videos are sponsored. And i am really sad that there are so many people out there that dont even use a liitle bit of their mind to judge what is authentic and what is not. This is a complete! amazing review and congratulations, but for starters how hard is to tell that in a simple heatsink, more material means better heat dissipation... Great work and i appreciate your hard effort.

      Yes exactly. All these heatsinks will do the job but the whole point of these comparisons is which heatsink gives you the best results for less money! And right now eagle is the winner. Even if elecgear runs 2 degrees cooler at the price of 37 euro!!! +shipping its ridiculous! It is just a heatsink for christ's sake...

    Brilliant video. Definitely do the Eagle v the elecgear. But also add in a conventional heatsink but a good one like the arous full copper heatsink with the original ps5 metal case covering it. So we can see the difference between all 3. Keep up the great work 🙌

    I came here after watching someone else review his Eagle, and it triggered the shit out of me.
    Firstly, even after visibly seeing the temp results are LOWER than the other one, he still managed to find a way to say that the Eagle was worse ("it's bigger so it should have performed better anyway" is so poor).
    Secondly, it is clear he was salty at paying 6x the price. It's his own fault for not doing his homework properly and buying it for a tenner (£10). This saltiness was evident when he was trying to show the Eagle was poorly packaged (which in fairness it was, but only because of the UK seller, not the manufacturer), and thus it was a terrible purchase.
    Thirdly, he seemed adamant that the quality of the Eagle was bad - my take is that he sees this as some no-name brand and therefore cannot possibly be better than a branded Sabrent. And thus cannot possibly perform better.
    Fourthly, he was saying that it looked badly made and flimsy, and said something along the lines of "i can bend the ends of it" - like wtf? It's a solid piece of metal that has been shaped, being able to bend it is not an indication of build quality. What a numpty.
    You have taken a objective look at this and backed it up with evidence, and concluded correctly. You get my like and a sub.

      Thank you bro. Did you also look at the article on the webpage? The wiring of the probe is really bad and it makes the results unusable. Hi again. So gamer nexus was actually incorrect then. As your results show the ssd, heatsink and playstation 5 itself actually ran hotter when you added plates with cut outs to increase air circulation correct?

    • @McKuc
      @McKuc  2 роки тому +1

      Hej, nono i totally agree with Gamers Nexus and his results are facts that are also logical.(just check how close the panels are to the fan) The components inside the PS5 are running cooler when you remove the Panels or make holes. He measured for example the RAM and underneath the APU. He did not measure the M.2 SSD temps. So everything has pros and cons. When there is less air passing the SSD Heatsink, there is worse cooling (logically). Just wanted to see the impact on the SSD temp.
      If you use a bad SSD cooler or no SSD cooler combined with Darkplates 2.0 (no filters), the SSD will heat up (throttle) faster then with normal Plates.
      I would still use Darkplates or Mod Panels like i have combined with a good Heatsink. (SSD Temp with a good Heatsink like the EAGLE will rise a bit, but the more importent internals of the PS5 will be cooler)
      There is a sweetspot
      Example:
      SSD Temp will maybe rise from 38°C to 45°C which is still totally fine.
      RAM/VRM and APU will cool down from 87°C to 83°C
      This will boost efficiency and longavity and is a good tradeoff in my opinion.
      Some are worried about more dust because of the holes. But the airspeed from the sucked in air is decreasing when you have holes and is not going to suck in so much dust, that is sitting on the console for example. (if the air, that is getting inside the vacuum cleaner is slower, the vacuum cleaner will suck less dust in)
      Even if my thoughts about dust are totally wrong, the PS5 is easy to clean and has dustcatchers. The first thing you can get out is the Fan. lift the fan and you can already see the heatsink and clean it with compressed air. On the PS4 the fan was the last thing you could remove. For me there are much more pros then cons for holes in the panels. Watch out who you ask. Some people are earning money from repairing consoles (repair shops), so they will maybe not tell the truth ;)

      im am not sure if i wil make another comparison. this video took me a lot of time and as i said at the end of the video, in my opinion no tests are needed because all 3 heatsinks will do the job.
      if you live somewhere, where you have tropical temperatures, then maybe do not buy the Sabrent and go with EAGLE or Elecgear.
      This test was an almost worst case scenario. During gaming, the fans will spin faster and how often are you going to transfer 0,5TB from the internal to m.2. even if it throttles during transfer, who cares... the gaming performance is the one that matters.
      The thing that matters most is which is the best bang for the Money!? IT IS 100% EAGLE

    Thank you very much for your video, the youtuber you are talking about should be ashamed that he was irresponsible about the tests. But I want to clarify one point. I have exactly the same kit with an eagle heatsink, there are 3 thermal pads, green from segments, pink thick and blue thin. Did I understand correctly that blue or green should be placed between the heatsink and the SSD, depending on preferences, and pink under the ssd so that it does not sag from the pressure of the heatsink? In your opinion, is it possible to use a thermal pad even thinner than 0.5mm, and use a copper plate instead of the rest of the thickness? I would like to get the maximum efficiency of the radiator, and this can only be achieved with a thinner thermal pad. On the sabrent radiator, for example, it is simply too thick. Now I have a seagate 530 in my ps5 and a snowman heatsink with a heat pipe, there are very thin thermal pads in the kit and everything suits me except for an open SSD compartment, that's why I bought an eagle heatsink. Sorry for my English.

    • @McKuc
      @McKuc  2 роки тому +2

      Hello. For me (on Samsung 1TB) it looks like only the blue one is for between the SSD and the heatsink. The green ones are probably also for underneath. If you have a SSD that has also modules underneath (or is thicker) you can use the thinner green ones instead of the 3mm, or maybe cut and mix them. You can try a 0.5mm pad. I do not know if it is going to make good a contact. I am not a fan of a lot of layers because there will always be air inbetween. The cooling performance of all 3 is good.
      I think it is better to use a good quality thermal pad with higher W/mK then playing around with cooper plates. If you want to try it with a copper plate and thinner pad, you should use a good thermal paste between copper plate and heatsink. The pad underneath is also improving the cooling performance imo. Did not test it with and without.
      I have another 1tb ssd. Maybe i will test the Elecgear with and without pad undeeneath and also with stickers and without stickers on SSD.
