I’m back! New pour with cool colors that ended up more pink than I was expecting! Such a great pour with no need for touch ups !
I used a different brand of paints today…Gorideal…worked nicely!
Quick correction I said “40 ounces of paint” it was actually 32 ounces of the puddle paints!
So I tilted differently today to see how the negative space would turn out. I love how it looks with a few random cells floating in the negative space!
More pours to come!
Dwight
This is gorgeous 😊😊
Stunning color palette Dwight!
Thank you!
This is beautiful Dwight !
I like the change to horizontal
I love it! ❤
Superbe! J’aime beaucoup les couleurs👍😘
Really beautiful, Dwight!! Love the colors and the lines!! Well done!!
Thank you! Cheers!
New Sub. Previously a lurker. Can you do this on a smaller canvas? Like 11x14 inches? It would give me hope !!
Smaller canvases are harder to make the process successful, the larger ones allow the paints to stretch and the black paint to sink. I think the smallest one I ever did was a 20 x 20
Gorgeous! Love these colors
Thank you! 😊
Hey Dwight, You have inspired me with this one. It is beautiful.. I haven't painted in a couple years, but it's time to get back into it. Thanks
Go for it!
Your painting is full of life! I love the flow of energy that I see when viewing your works of art! Beautiful...
Thank you so much 😀
This is exquisite! 🧡
Thank you!!
Hello Dwight
I am writing to you from France because I am a fan of your work.
I wanted to thank you for all your explanations and your sharing
I am a singer and practicing painting is always a great source of energy and inspiration for me...
Also, I would be very grateful if you could clarify for me, although it seems to me that you have already said it, if the black discharge paint you use is thicker than the colored paints?
Many thanks 🙏
Have a great day ☀️☀️☀️
Hello France! I’ve been to Paris just once but want to go back! I’ll be honest, the black paint can be tricky…most of the time it’s the same consistency, what helps with the cells coming out is how much stretching you do, the larger canvases work better for this. Smaller ones can work but you’d have to use less black paint. Some brands of paints work well so sometimes you’ll need to add more water or keep it slightly thicker. I used to take notes on what works and what doesn’t and what brands work better, a lot of experimenting. Rule of thumb…if you get small cells and not full coverage, the paints are too thick. If the cells grow fast but become stretched or wonky, the paints might be too thin.
@@dwightpours1261 Thank you for all these very valuable details.
Thank you for your time
I'm not from Paris but from Toulouse and it's also very pretty! 🌸🌸🌸
I can’t believe how much the cells changed overnight. The new paints work great and I like the offset negative space. ❤
I totally agree!
Thank you!
I love this. Lately I cannot get my large canvas (your size) to develop cells as it stops developing- how much paint are you pouring per color on the canvas. So bummed.
So you have a paint chart? I’ve started measuring the amount needed to cover the canvas and use, on this size canvas, 24 oz of black since there is a lot of tilting
No I don’t have a paint chart. That would probably help - lol.
What size is this painting?
It’s a 24 x 36 inch canvas
Thanks!
Hello Dwight I just subscribed to your Channel I must say you do some stunning work and I got to say this painting absolutely reminds me of a flower the negative space is the center of it and all those beautiful pedals coming off of it you see all those darker lines coming out this absolute reminds me of a black-eyed Susan maybe a mutated version this is one of my most favorite Pearl p o u r s I am absolutely in love with this painting Bravo to you❤
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel!
