I just wanted to use the opportunity to thank you for the great content you create - in social media and in print. It is a fucked up year, and your work allow us to enjoy beauty, which gives us hope and optimism. I hope soon this clusterfuck is over, and I can pass by your office in old town Geneva to thank you in person. I would come with the book for an autograph, but it is a big brick. Why would you have to "prove" that the repeaters were based on the womans repeater pendant watches, it would seem quite obvious that they would base the wristwatch version on an already existent repeater movement. What else would you base it on?

      @styx4947 3 роки тому

      @@MrCarGuy Indeed, i think you are absolutely right. Very astute, I didn't think of it that way. I was
      asking how could one "prove" that one idea was derived from another without having a document from the inventor declaring, "i based this invention on that prior model". I confess that I am not familiar with the methods of proof in sociology and therefore could be completely wrong. Lol

    Kind of a sad museum really. Seeing all of their past achievements: what they made, how incredible those watches were. Coming into now what they are: the Royal Oak (let's face it AP would likely be nonexistent without it) and unable to design a watch enthusiasts actually want to buy (i.e. Code 11:59 disaster). Too bad.
