today, sena, you brought tears to my eyes. thank you for sharing your life with us. i've been learning ukrainian for almost 10mo now to better communicate with my love's family. the first time i started speaking ukrainian with them (7mo ago), you should have seen the light in their faces. they can see i'm dedicated to getting to know their language, & themselves. every time we get together i know a little bit more. this bond that is growing has only been possible by studying a new language. ♥️
When I think about "How to enjoy little things?" I overthink it. I know I can when I think about death and the fact that this is it. But sometimes I think, "Yeah, yeah, some flowers, who cares?" or "Yeah yeah, a dinner out, who cares?" I think I find it easier to enjoy something you aren't even supposed to enjoy like cracks on the sidewalk than I am something that's supposed to be a fun activity like going shopping or walking or bowling. Enjoyment can be elusive.
Every second you are dying. Death isn't some far away, vague thing. This is it.
This is why stoicism is so important for Today's generation.
Savoring the good things in life is the secret to true success. What a beautiful reminder 💫🕺💫
