wonderful ! fond memories of Harley Jane Kozak who also played the part of Mary on the daytime soap opera " Santa Barbara " Could you please do a " Santa Barbara " reunion ? so many of us want that " Santa Barbara " reunion so bad .
Thank you Alan for “The Reardon” show. Loved these years from Guiding Light. It’s hard to imagine that GL was on 5 days a week for free! Such a great show
I just caught Mary Kay Adams on a rerun of Everybody Loves Raymond. I thought she was wonderful on Guiding Light. I'd love to see her included in a roundup of actors. Thanks so much for these podcasts. They are terrific!
This was delightful! So many great stories and remembrances. I think Harley is one of my favorite guests of yours. Of course as a writer, she's a wonderful story teller. I hope you can have her back sometime (perhaps a TEXAS reunion?). Thanks again for a great show! :-)
I just remember being 7 or 8 and had the biggest crush on Jim Reardon!!!! So embarrassing to admit that now. Ed I thought of as a daddy type and Mike Bauer like an uncle but Jim was so handsome to me. But could never figure out if he loved Hillary or Annabelle? And still called her Annabelle when she was in the movie Parenthood!!!!! Hahaha
@@TheLocherRoom Amanda was kind enough to like a comment on another UA-cam video about my admission of a memory from my teenage years: As a teenager in 1983... as soon as I saw this handsome man... I knew I was gay. My Grandmother was an avid watcher of Guiding Light and whenever we were in her home we knew that for that 1 hour she was not to be disturbed while her "story" was on. She would explain the characters to us and give quite colorful descriptions of the plot and history of the show. When Michael Woods came on the screen I (maybe too enthusiastically) yelled out "Who is he?". My Grandmother gave me an astonished, but lovingly knowing look and then said to me "he has such a lovely hairy chest... don't you think so?" I blushed and quietly said "Oh God... yesssss!!". It was a bonding moment for us and a very happy memory. Thank you, Alan... for all you do!
Another set of great interview(s). Anytime, I see GL or ATWT interviews coming up it’s like Christmas. It’s funny because I sort of watched Texas when it aired. It was a good show and had beautiful sets. It was very much like GL in its tone and setting. I just got up to the Hitopah storyline on UA-cam. Harley & Michael are in it. I remember thinking Harley was beautiful on Texas. The Annabelle storyline with Tony & Eli was awesome. It was such a great show. In my book GL was #1 and ATWT was #2 as my favorites. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Several years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Holmes in Cobleskill, NY. and meeting Shannon, and Kurt and the local Spiedifest in the local Binghsom
Who did Harley say she was best friends with? I couldn't quite make that out. EDIT: Never mind-It was Carolyn Clark who played the hot nurse who was Floyd's girlfriend.
Alan, first of all sorry for my english, I'm an italian GL fan (I'm 59, so I really enjod it from 1982 till the end). I think you should do a special dvd with a selection of this amazing idea you had to celebrate the show all along the bad quarantine and lockdown...If u will do it please include a lot from those wonderful trio! :) and also pick a lot from the special with the great Peter Simon (Ed my fa character, ever) and his family...thanks! Giorgio
🤗🤗COULDN'T MAKE THE LIVE BUT WATCHING IT TONIGHT WITH A CUP OF COFFEE! WONDERFUL TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN YOU TOO ALAN LOL😂 LOVED THEM ALL ON GL HOWEVER LOVED ELLEN MORE AS MARGO ON ATWT'S MARGO SUITED HER BETTER BUT I LOVE HER! HUGE FAN OF BOTH SHOWS🤗🤗FOREVER💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Texas was my favourite show as a kid, Brett Wheeler my favourite character and Hitopah my favourite storyline so I was thrilled to hear Harley talk about it. Alan you can watch Texas from the beginning on UA-cam. You should check it out. I think you would enjoy seeing Beverlee McKinsey and Catherine Hickland.

Seeing Michael I'm reminded of Hillary Bauer. Her death was about as senseless as Maureen's. Brings back memories to see these three.
I know that this a GL reunion but killing Mary on SB was a huge mistake. There, I said it. Love Harley.
Thank you Alan for “The Reardon” show.
Loved these years from Guiding Light.
It’s hard to imagine that GL was on 5 days a week for free! Such a great show
You are very, very welcome. Thanks for watching.
I love seeing these three together. Can Michael Woods be an HOTTER!!
Amen!!!
Those eyes!! ❤
@@craigsilver5227 Even on a screen... in person they must be ... ummm... well... yeah! ❤❤❤

I'd love to see Mary Kay Adams. I enjoyed her on GL and ATWT.
I would like to see that to. I started when India came on. She was a major part of 80's GL.
I'd love Mary Kay as well. She's fab. Thanks for watching.
She is a sign language interpreter now. “Humans of NY” did a piece on her a few years back- I think she definitely wants to leave her TV days behind.

I enjoyed this one since they were on when I was little watching GL... I also loved Harley’s work in one of my favorite movies Parenthood

Where did you find Hitopah on UA-cam?
Texas 427-428 on UA-cam.
So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the note.
I didn’t recognize Annabelle Sims Reardon. I loved her storyline.
Great show they all were great in their roles, good to see them again!
Annabelle was my favourite character. Loved the fisherman storyline, recently watched it on UA-cam again
Thank you Alan for another great interview! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!

Interesting, Everett. I will take a look. Thanks for watching.
Good news for Dr. Reardon- he did not kill Hillary Bauer! Hillary was killed by Susan Piper's exploding music box!
LOL -- thanks for letting me know, Jerry.
Hillary and Mo were well loved by the fans the Bauer’s writing ✍️ off 2 main characters was senseless 😮
would love a tribute to Betty Rea.
Great idea! Stay tuned.
Loved Hillary and Jim ❤Hillary good had been kidnapped still supposed been killed off while doing her play 😊
I preferred Ellen on GL.
Her maurewas better but will always be margo ❤
