Little Ones sounds so bloody malicious. It sounds like an unhinged villain's monologue. It's like every person's dark, blindly ambitious and infinitely envious side. Gives me chills.
I keep thinking about that opening monologue for Little Ones. It's so interesting. On one hand, the ideals it is advocating for are good ones, but on the other, the person sounds vicious and possibly sarcastic, which is further enhanced by the distortion and other effects. I would guess that the meaning is to do with how progressive values are often warped, both by conservatives and liberals, and how even good intentions can be harmful and regressive, but I'm not at all sure. It might be another layer more meta than that, and the confusion it inspires is itself the point. Knowing whatever meaning might be behind it won't help me enjoy the music, anyhow.
Imo the next layer is likely jvnko's own experience, of those values being parroted over and over but in the end when she needed it there wasn't any of those ideals in the actions of those who spoke them. it's about the tension between how people want to act, and what people perceive as "right". and on the other side, how people are perceived to act, and how they actually behave when the chips are down. and how those differences can be damaging to the people caught in the middle

30 minutes is when track 9 starts, so you went pretty far. I honestly really disagree with the "lack of variety" criticism. Starving Slvt Overture has some ambient wonder followed by intense harsh noise, Cold Steel is the song with the greatest abundance of voice samples, giving the feeling that it's being sang by a tortured soul, Lips has some unnerving nostalgic Playstation energy to it, recontextualized with the modern trap beats and intense sound design making it painfully creepy, Pandora's Box being another trap song that sounds more modern but still with this unnerving feeling something is seriously wrong. Private Life having a "calm before the storm" feeling, building up to the album's third act. It's an album that is admittedly not very interesting in your first sitting, but the more you listen to it, the more you appreciate it. The more you start seeing the intense pain it portrays. I heard Jvnko stated she sampled an interview with a p*dophile once, and I believe this is the album where she used that interview, but I don't know if that is true. You can hear someone talk about children at 35:52, but this is just my own observation. I don't know what sample that is. This led to people thinking she also sampled child pornography, but she has stated she never sampled that. People tried to cancel her for it. Because of that and some other smaller controversies, she decided to delete a lot of her work. It's sad cause dopamine rush is one of my favorite songs.

JVNKOOOOO!
Does anyone know why Junko deleted this stuff?
