    Did replacing this module fix the problem?

    • @ModdingAddiction
      @ModdingAddiction  3 роки тому

      Yes this fixed the problem. I was able to replace the obd cable and scan the whole car.

    Audi s4 b7 While replacing my headlight bulbs(xenon) I notice the inside the head light alot of wiring is all brittle and stripped and naked(assuming heat over time) wires touching eachother so im in the process of replacing the harnesses inside the light.

      Oh that sounds like a fun job. Were the wires exposed or were they in a loom?

      @ModdingAddiction was the complete harness inside the headlight

    Hello, thankyou for upload. Do you remember how much voltage is there in k line ?
    I am checking a Porsche it has 2 k line in pin 3 & 7, maybe somehow it could be similar to audi

      Oh man that is a good question I don’t remember testing for voltage. I know I tested ohms for grounds. If it’s grounding out it won’t send the right signal. I know it’s not much help but I can try and help the best I can if you give me a little more information on the problem and stuff you have tried. Keep me posted

    Yo thanks for this! Were your headlights working with the faulty module? I would assume if this module controls the headlights then the headlights would be out, but considering how hard it was for you to find I'm assuming everything was working except for the OBD2? I have the task ahead of me of figuring this out.

      The headlights would work on and off they would randomly turn off by them self’s with the light switch turned on

    Top, Du hast mir sehr geholfen. Bei mir war exakt das gleiche Problem. Ich habe das Steuergerät übrigens die Oxydation der Plattine einfach mit einer Messingbürste entfernt.
    Das Steuergerät läuft wieder und das K Leitungs Problem ist weg.

      I tried to fix it but it was too far gone. Had to get a new one

    Do you know where the headlight module is located in a 2001 audi tt quattto? Not a roadster…

    • @ModdingAddiction
      @ModdingAddiction  3 роки тому

      That is a good question I have never seen the coupe layout. If I was to guess I would say under the passenger glove box dash area. Is this for sure what is causing the problem? Have you isolated the other wires at the OBD connection to make sure this is the fault? The roadster has a problem where the top roof drains get clogged and flood this module. The coupe Shouldn't be having this problem. If it is headlight related I would start at the headlights themselves. Hopefully that helps keep me posted.

      Not sure if you ever got a solution but I'm doing similar.. trying to read Kline on my motorbike. Seems like it's permanently grounded.. lol I haven't been able to read a pulse off it yet. Dammit😊

    I'm having a similar issue with a 2004 audi tt. The hazard lights were randomly coming on throughout night while car was off killing the battery and the airbag light under the shift knob was flashing i jumped the battery All the floor boards of the vehicle are wet due to the rain we are getting here, in the meantime pulled the fuse to the hazards lights car runs fine but i plugged in ob2 scanner and it can't read anything its basically saying its not connecting to computer/ can't find it i re inserted that fuse and double checked obd2 again and nothing now the raido is currently off and won't turn back on but when i eject the cd i can hear it working . Any ideas ?????? Floor boards are wet and under the seats and behind them. Anyone have any ideas. ...i doubled checked my scan tool on another vehicle it worked flawlessly fyi

      Take apart the k line connections. The headlight module was flooded on mine and caused the k line to be shorting out. If anything is wet along the k line it is probably grounded and not allowing the scan tool to connect
