A very illuminating video... 😀 Head torches are a nightmare and to be honest I prefer to work in the moonlight when I can. Nothing worse than being out with someone with a head torch who insists on talking to you whilst blinding you at the same time. That said, when you need, one you need one. I picked up a Forclaz rechargeable head torch - Bivouac 500 USB for £16.99. It is 100 lumen and fits easily into a pocket. One button mode cycle - no no need for a degree in astrophysics to understand how it works. I know you don't need another head torch, but just incase any of your community want another alternative. My advice - learn to work in the dark... Makes your other senses work harder and improves the outdoor experience.

I use cap lights. They clip on to the head gear I already use. Been using the same one for close to 10 years. Haven't had to change the battery yet.

i use a perun mini for this matter; thanks to its 90° tilted head i can mount it somewhere lower on my body, think jacket.
at least that keeps "633 squadron" away... headholder comes in handy when tinkering on stuff...
