    Just in case somebody doesnt know, Storm Herald (the Imperator Titan of Helsreach) was out of power after the missed shot, and the God Breaker mega-gargant came to rip its head off, Storm Herald mustered up the energy for a last punch, actually dealing some damage. It shouldnt have been capable of it.

      Well there is this thing called machine spirit or as those who know call them a "minor warp entity" and they can do all kind of crazy things. Why do you think the incense and prayers help when the priests want to fix something :D

    Despite it looking like an assassin novel, assassinorum kingmaker is an unbelievable book. It has a lot of intrigue with the assassins, but it gives an in-depth look at how titan houses operate internally. It also ends with an unbelievably sick fight between many legendary titans. Cannot recommend this book enough!!!

      It's about Knights, not Titans.

    • @HatsAlEsman
      @HatsAlEsman 10 місяців тому +8

      Theres an actual difference surprisingly, with knights being way more ANCESTORS SOULS IN A BIG MECH while titans are just big robots. The book does have some knights as big as a titan and BOY is it a wild book.

      @consolescrub4031 10 місяців тому +3

      The book is great but I do have to concur with the previous comments that Knights are different from Titans. I think there was some pretty cool Titan lore in Mortis although it does contain that awkward scene with the Legio Sinister.

    Grimaldus just straight bringing the Princeps back through sheer force of will is such a bad ass scene.

    Princeps: Grimaldus, I did promise you.

    Honourable mention: The Burning of Prospero, when Legio Xestobiax' Prosperine Vigil; a loyalist Titan Legion stationed at Prospero bested Legio Mortis which during that time secretly a traitor but part of Leman Russ' Censure Host. They were defeated after Censure Host deployed Psi-Titan of Ordo Sinister. A little known, small Titan Legion able to defeat a well-decorated Titan Legion.

    There’s a scene in “ honor to the dead” where the loyalists titans are racing to save a downed titan transport ship but are on the verge of destruction after a heroic battle and at the last minute a war horn blares from within the ship and I think an imperator titan strides to war and obliterates the traitors. One of the greatest lines I have ever read involving titans:
    "Corpses are piled five or six deep along the foot of the Delphic Battlement. They died where they fell, driven back against the mighty wall, cut down as they made their last defence with no room left to retreat. They lie, limbs entangled, draped across each other, in the mire. They are not men. They are Titan war engines."

      Angron would either have been dead, or he would've been found before the butchers nails were implanted. If that happened, the world eaters would've been paladins. Angrons loyalty would've probably been unquestionable. He would probably have shown lorgar the error of his ways, and shown him why the emperor had to go so far to make his point. Erebus and corphereon probably would've been culled as they were clearly insane. Conrad could've gotten therapy to deal with his crazy. And mortarion would've learned forgiveness.

    10:41 Also in the time of Beta-Garmon the Imperium had very many rediscovered Titans and Knights. Lost forgeworlds and colonization efforts. Not sure if they were in this battle. But I think the Imperium and traitors had these many Titans, because of all those rediscoveries. Which were mostly destroyed during the Heresy. During the 40k there are no such discoveries, so no new Titans.

    This isn’t in anyway canon but I thought it was cool considering the fact it relates to titans
    I run a Warhammer Wrath and Glory game (it’s dnd for Warhammer 40K basically) and during a late game battle which took place on a world near the edge of the great rift, the Lion’s forces led by the primarch and a detachment of Ultramarines and Blood Angels led by Guilliman and Dante backed them up against a massive chaos force including a few chaos titans, one of which was a Warmaster Titan from the Horus Heresy age, the players boarded the Titan and took out its princeps and crew as well as vanquishing the machine spirit causing the Titan to fall and the battle to come to a close
    However baleful energies began to coalesce around the fallen Titan as a dark presence took it over, the essence of Khorne himself possessed the disabled warmaster Titan and began using it as an avatar seeing it as a golden opportunity to do battle with two primarchs and the other heroes. Due to Khorne’s power and influence over the Titan he was able to use it to its full effect as the players along with Guilliman, the Lion and Dante took on the possessed Titan together, the battle was hard fought but they eventually managed to disable and destroy the Titan even though Khorne found the battle amusing and considers his opponents foes worthy of his attention before his presence fades.
    Yet again, not canon but I thought it was cool and worth sharing

    The imperium fighting a war against a technologically equal civilization that actually knows what strategy and tactics are would be interesting. Like instead of building giant walking turrets, just make ships and obliterate them from orbit. Instead of broadsides at short range they launch attacks from 10000km away. And instead of glorious melee combat they do what strategy has said for at least the last 300 years and shoot them from as far away as possible.

    Are they efficient? no, not by any means...but sometimes...sometimes the bad guys need to learn a lesson in humility, and that's when you role out the 100 foot tall death machines.

    What if the primarch were sent to different planets like for example what if mortarion was sent to macragge and dorn was sent to nuceria instead of inwit?

    THE most epic Titan escapade is when few Bois just took off in the field with fill Mad Max mode on and made some sort of warp jumper out of garbage to avoid Titan's shields and crashing into it's head where they fed the Princeps to their whatever mushroom dog.

    Another cool Titan moment, but not in that way, was in the "Twice Dead King" books "Ruin" where a Titan gets killed with one shot from a single Necron Lords tachyon arrow
    Also i prefer Chaos Knights over Imperials, they look just way cooler

    Just puts into perspective how powerful humanity was at moment of heresy and how much it fucked humanity up. Imperium was on road to pacify the galaxy...the whole thing...completely. But I guess chaos knew that too and decided to go all in with Horus bet.
