Selena’s most raw and personal song is probably her track “Perfect”, it’s so sad and heartbreaking that I don’t think Selena could ever revisit it or perform it. I highly recommend you react to it, it’s a bonus track on her Revival album and it’s kind of like a hidden gem in a way.

She did say that is one of her most personal songs. She wasn’t sure about including it in revival. It breaks my Heart how she tries to understand why she got cheated on and thinks of the other woman as being perfect, unlike herself. Trully heartbreaking
He was her first real love, and she was his. This relationship began in their mid-teens so you were right about that. At the time of this song, they'd been together for 3-4 years, but in total were together on and off for about 8 years. This song always breaks me heart but it's just so real. I've been there and I am sure a lot of people have. You know it's wrong, but the highs are so great, that you stay.

Selena did said that she wasn’t sure about including “Perfect” in revival. She said is too personal. I think that song hits different, the way is written, the way she tries to understand why she got cheated on and how she puts herself on her partners position on to why he cheated on her. Its a heartbreaking song
their relationship was so toxic but Justin constantly cheated on her it was terrible & then when they would be broken up he'd start posting pics of them or her on his instagram saying he missed it and everything only to do the same things when they got back together, Selena deserved better

oh that's a great insight. she's not even trying to justify his behavior, she sees it and accepts it as it is. i never thought about this song like like that, because usually in a toxic relationship, a person will try to defend the other person's action. but she's not even doing that here. your commentary makes me realise something new about a song i've been listening to for years. keep it up man

Dude, you nailed it on the head at the end the whole last thing you said totally resonated with me and I thought I was the only one who felt like that about the smells and tying was that one person. This song is literally kind of like this relationship, I’m literally crying the whole time I’m hearing it but I want more of it.
Selena is so authentic and brave person and musician - she has hopefully realised that she must protect herself from her own goodness and stop justifying the badness of people she loves and who take her for granted and keep letting her down.
