Two movies I never get tired of watching Goodfellas and Casino.
the milk fed veal moments one of the best boss moments ever oozes confidence 🤣
Home alone
Goodfellas was great.....Casino was garbage...... believe me.....I lived the life
Even though Casino is 6 years long. Can relate. 😊❤
for me those two as well and scarface (even tho joe isn't in it)
"Hey Joe, you are terrible singer!" 😄
Joe: "Terrible how?"
😂
He's not here to amuse us? LOL 😊❤
Like a clown? How is he funny? You said!
😂
I never realized how soft spoken Joe is.
Little Joe
Same here, it surprised me, maybe given the characters he's played?
@@93Jubilee definitely
Thanks for replying
@@93Jubilee definitely
His demeanor is such a dichotomy of his film characters. On screen, he's loud, obnoxious, and intimidating. Of screen he's so soft spoken and calm. He almost sounds intimidated himself.
Yeah, I'm surprised. It means he's a really good actor. I'm surprised that I like him.
My Cousin Vinny! That's my favorite film of his. Thank you Joe Pesci 👏👏
2 youts 🤣🤣🤣
@@henryphilips6563 Yup 😀 That entire movie is so great.
My cousin Vinny actually should always be included in any list of "best movies of all time." "Casablanca", then "my cousin Vinny". 🎭📽️🎭
@@girlfromthebronxbywayofelb7288 Agree 💯
Did you say yute😂
Back when late night was entertaining and worth watching.
Yes nobody is left now worth watching Leno Carson and letterman were the best of the best!
Okay, boomers
thanks for making their point.
Yeah you solidified their point. Now we are stuck with raw sewage late night shows
lol old people whining
Joe Pesci is a truly versatile and gifted actor.
I'm glad all of his wounds from Home Alone and Home Alone 2 had healed by the time this interview rolled around.
Now go home and get your shine box.
Lmao
Love that they had freedom to smoke
Joe Pesci is one of the greatest ever ❤
The character of Leo Getz in Lethal Weapon showed this guy's range perfectly. He is a genius. I don't think I have ever seen anyone give such flavor to their characters like Pesci. I bet you the script and original ideas were nowhere near what he did with all those characters. Absolute monster.
Hearing Joe sing makes me feel better about my voice. Thanks Joe!!
He is indeed an inspiration.
😂
The late Bruno Kirby sounded exactly like him...
Whoa whoa, you think I sound funny? Funny how?😅
@@brianwells4507 now go home and get your f*cking shine box. LOL.
I pray to Joe Pesci everyday, like George Carlin taught me. What a great man. :)
So do I! He's a guy who can get things done.
The things ha can do in a Leather coat and a Bat!
amen!
Top comment imo 😂
@@EternalChampI can't take credit from Georgie's words, man. Glad you liked it, though! :)
Luckily, he's a funny guy. That saved him from harm.
What, like a clown?
@@bigbowlowrong4694 ,right. He amuses me. Like Stepinfetchit.
I'm here to amuse you ?
Funny how?
Like a dancing bear ?
He’s such a soft spoken guy, but he definitely has that “Tommy” vibe.
Awesome 😎
Joe is so humble.
God bless Joe and David!!🙏
GOTTA GETCHU INTO MY LIFE😂😂😂😂😂
How did you forget ... My Cousin Vinnie?!🤪😁
Don’t think he made that one yet.
@@waynedurning8717he had, it just wasnt some big box office smash.. it just became a cult classic afterwards
@@kcguy8864 thanks for the info
I've never heard Joe Pesci sing before and he is actually super good wtf!
There's also the time Joe 'jokingly' referred to Chicago Outfit Mobster Frank Cullotta, who was working as a technical advisor on a film, as a rat, and got the scare of his life.
Referred to him as a “rat” to his face.
@furbabydaddy814 he was joking heard the same story
This video made me run right to the news…luckily he’s okay.
I know, this channel is a constant remind death is not far away
Thanks.
Should be a rule on this channel: first one in has to google the guest's well being.
@@davewestner I second this
Thought he got whacked!!! 😅

Little Joe " Sure Can Shine"
Shine how?

I love Joe Pesci! Loved him since i saw him in the Home Alone films.
How does such an obviously sensitive and considerate man portray violent and absolutely amoral sociopaths so damned well?!
Apparently he grew up around real gangsters so he witnessed what they were like
It's called acting. What do you do for a living?
It’s his shadow side he gets to express it through his characters and not in real life
It’s not acting. People in that life are equal parts intimidating and caring. Everything they do seems random and chaotic, but is so intentional. I see it in the difference between Pesci, Ray Liotta & De Niro. Apart from acting, you can see it in their demeanor how close they are to that life. You can tell who’s been exposed to what. Ive had people that have a body count, tell me I should never raise my voice to women, “it shows weakness”. Those same people have domestically assaulted women, but have also never missed a birthday for me or anyone they know.
Honestly your right him in home alone idk how anyone can play such a scary part.
"Anything you need, Leo Getz"
The dude is way more chill than you’d think.
I’ve met many famous actors but he is hands down the best one that in person acts and talks exactly like he does in movies
WTF? He acts and talks absolutely nothing like the characters he portrays in movies...
@@jdemarco he did when I met him and that was at a wedding so he didn’t have to
I wonder if at the time Letterman knew these clips were going to become so classic.
One of the greatest to ever do it do it. His acting could be sadistic and crazy or burn the top of your head off funny as hell. Truly a legend
Joe Pesci a very great actor
Phil & Dana! Thank you to whomever is at the controls over there. Would love to see the Hartman interview from this episode 🖤
He should have said to Joe, “Do you think I’m a clown?” 😂
One of the best, great range and love this man because I grew up with him.
One of the greatest SUPPORTING actors of all time.
One of the greatest actors of all time.
Accurate statement. Best supporting
Actors *
just because he stars in “supporting” roles doesnt mean he is on classified as that. HES AN ACTOR. period. And hes top 20 greatest
My Cousin Vinny wasn't a supporting role. Great movie.
I married a man where my kids think he was joe peshi! Lol they were so much alike and i truely loved him! RIP Billy 😂
Joe Pesci seems like the sweetest, nicest guy. . .Love him!
They bring the genius in each other in good humor.
Cool! I had an uncle who went by “Little Joe.” Pretty great that he got saved by that acting thing.
I have an uncle that goes by Lil Jon.
YAYAAAH!!!$
The "Little Joe" Album seems to be Joe's real life Shine Box. 😂
Yeah he did not like seeing that album 🤣🤣
Music and guitar has always been his first love, acting was a side gig that grew into someone more
I kept waiting for him to say "yutes".
Back in the good ol' days when you could smoke stogies on TV...
He doesn’t have to find a hiding spot, like YOU. Hohoho
Joe played Joe Conforte..Mustang Ranch brothel owner. Ba da bing!
He is in a company of his own. What an icon Joe is.❤️
Guy shoulda won the Oscar for The Irishman..
He was so good. I'm surprised too
Ahhh......the good 'ol days when you could smoke a cigar wherever & whenever you wanted to........LOL !
Ik right. I love cigars and wish I could smoke them more conveniently when I go somewhere in public. But you pretty much can’t smoke cigars in any buildings besides some casinos. The lack of freedom is staggering now.
He was very good in "With Honors".
Wish Joe would sing again. He is a good in singing the standards.
Joey is really a stand up guy, very humbled to.
The first time I saw Joe Pesci was on Home Alone. I thought he was a comedian. I had no idea of his other side.
For some strange reason I always have more respect for calm people who speak in a soft tone. I don't know why.
Joe is so chill compared to the characters hes portrayed.
Should've dubbed in "We apologize to Matt Damon, we ran out of time"
I miss the 90s
Joe is amazing. I love his work.
Joe Pesci, Clint Eastwood and Steve Coogan are my top three actors.
LEGEND!!!!
David Letterman always great guests and awesome journalists skills . Every show is a good show. Thanks David Letterman and production crew! 🌟
Hahahaha right when he’s singing it sounded like it was going to get more high pitched before they cut it lol
Hey Tommy, U Got Ur
Shine Box, My Shoe's
Need A Shineing---Billy Batts...
Its amazing that real life Pesci reminds me so much of his latest performance as Russell Bufalino...incredibly soft spoken but a guy you dont want to mess with.
The good old days….🙌♥️
Joe spent a long time making it big. I really didn't know about his singing career. He's definitely best in criminal films, and he was in one as Vinnie that did well. Amazingly, he pulled out of acting for the most part for the last decade or more. 2024 now.
Joe is so soft spoken it’s incredible he can play those roles
opines, this appearance, only, reinforces, how much I like Mr. Pesci! When Dave reveals, "You know, we have the album, here", Mr. Pesci, instantly, replies, "Can I buy it?"
Yes,I thought that was very cool. Small things matter.
You could tell Culotta wasnt super fond of Pesci, but still wuteva.TheMans A Treasure
study to write English !!!
One of my fave actors.
5:53 "how did you get that part in raging Bull did someone see you in 'death collector?" 😅
Hey there letterman crew! I noticed the trailer was kept in this time!!! Wicked thanks! ^_^
That cigar looks fantastic!
He must have come from a rich family to get away with recording an album with that voice.
Superb actor and sounds like a nice guy too
A consummate supporting actor.
That does look like Little Joe. Not a comparison I ever would've made without seeing that album cover.
I love Joe Pesci
Without wanting a "wise guy" moment of my own, thank God he went into movies and gave up on music.
Blue Rodeo and Manon Rheaume - great show for Canadians
Don't mess with the Sticky Bandits!
At the time of this interview, the world had not yet met Nicky Santoro in Casino!!
It was a better time when you could smoke a cigar on the set of Letterman, I miss the 90’s.
Having grown up watching Joe Pesci in things like Good Fellas and Casino, I wouldn't have guessed that he would be a talented comedy actor, Home Alone and Lethal Weapon changed that. Very versatile.
Still waters run deep..!
Joe does not like to be teased or kidded. On the set of ‘Casino’ Don Rickles did what Rickles does, he let the air out of everyone on set, including Scorsese and De Niro, who loved it. Pesce, however, did not like it at all and called Don all manner of foul names!
I like Joe Pesci but he likes to break balls and hates it when you give it back to him which is not a great quality to have. On the Casino set Frank Cullotta threatened him over something Joe said that went over the line, can't recall what it was.
Little man syndrome
@axelarroyo3286 - Story I heard was Pesci called Cullotta a rat... & apparently, it was NOT, shall we say... "well received". Oh I bet!
Herd that about you too😅😅😅
he was pretty scary in "Casino" too
But very funny
I think he is even more intimidating in his soft spoken demeanor 😅
Frank Culotta ,a real gangster, on the set of the movie Casino as a consultant, tells a story on how he confronted Joe ,because he embarrassed him on set ,...Joe apologized....
Joe i s diverse play, anything funny or serious man's a legend that hides from the fame . He should be cherished what a guy
Joe Dawgs. With Joey DeFrancesco.... great album
❤ I have always loved 😍 you Joe😊. But when you Sing.... I go crazy 😧
Super nice guy. Opposite of some of his role characters .
Wow! Phil Hartman and Pesci on the same show.
Cigars, I remember that phase.
Forget sometimes how much a part of my childhood Joe Pesci was...
The Public Eye. Not a Blockbuster but a great movie. All Pesci!
The best actor ever ❤️
Love his acting, but that singing sounded like Alvin and the freakin Chipmunks.
Glad he kept his day job.
That comedy partner he's talking about at the start of this is Frank Vincent, aka Billy Batts, Philly Leotardo, Frank Marino.
I loved when he was in Karate Dog
