West Fife Pt 1 (Blair House open cast)

On 22/09/2024, I took my mountain bike up to the former Blair house open cast mine near Oakley, fife. the place in question has a controversial history, one that somewhat fascinated me. this mine has been here since 2010, and was in operation until late April 2013, when Scottish coal liquidated. fife council tried to get the £3.1M plus bond funds from the insurance company, but they wouldn't let go of it, due to the circumstances being out with the contract details. the mine then sat disused for 6 years until the court ruled in the councils favour, and work could commence to reinstate the land. by 2021, the land was converted to what you see in the video.
