That GoPro POV on Champery's World Cup Downhill track is INSANE! 🚵♂ The RAAW Laps bike handled like a beast. My heart was pounding just watching. Living vicariously through this adrenaline rush!
the gopro effect is from the camera being too low, like chest mount. Under the visor mount is the best as it is the closest to the riders eyes while still keeping the bars in the frame.
So I think it’s shot in linear mode. He’s mounted it on his helmet. Looks like it may be 60 fps? (Not sure) and most importantly- these dudes are insanely fast and skilled 👊🏾🔥
It's not a gopro. It's a DJI action 4 with a wider lens making things seem steeper and faster. That, or he's doing some funky stuff with the gopro stabilization, adding stabilization through gyroflow in post, and stretching the image. It doesn't look like any common gopro lens at least.
Understanding all of those angles, speeds, forces, timings, the level one has to polish their reflexes and their trust in themselves and in their bike... As a semi-beginner I don't know if this pumps me up or bums me out.
