Paul, just want to say finding your UA-cam channel has lowkey been one of my best online finds of the year. Not only are you an airline pilot, but you’ve become an excellent storyteller. Both of which are exceedingly cool, but it’s the amount of heart, with a dose of vulnerability & optimism, that you do it with that, for me, makes it must see viewing. This is a long way about saying thanks for sharing a bit of your experience with us. All the best!
Wow, thank you!
well said man! I am in agriance with you.
“I’m proud of you and don’t forget to believe.” Man, that was powerful. Thank you.
Good to hear!
“Pilots in pubs getting a pint”
Yesss. Although I don’t drink beer. 😂
@@mylayoverlife still got you “pilots pub and a pimm’s cup”
Hello i've been following you on utube,do you ever post your flights before hand,so i can follow you on flight radar. Thanks.
My 52 years in aviation is coming to an end in two months. I still love it. I’ll stay in it by following you. Thanks for your channel.
@@martinconner6302 this would be unlikely mate as it can pose a safety risk
Probably your best vlog so far, originally came for the scheduling stuff you showed in your videos but stayed for the travel vlogs or the conversations like in this vid!
Wow, thanks!
Paul, it is evident in your work the amount time and heart that is put in to each video. Thank you for taking us on your story, your work is so beautiful.
Wow, thank you
Captain Chris is a legend. Always responds to me on instagram. So engaging, so genuine. I’m also stealing “Aviate, Navigate, Be Nice”. I’ll be teaching that to all my students. Thanks as always Paul for the incredible content.
Words to live by. 🤙🏻
I just got hired by southwest in Austin as a customer service representative. I been in the industry 5 years with other airlines and I love it . Captain you really inspire me and I’d love to meet you over food and drinks sometime
I just found your channel today. My father was an Eastern Airlines/US Air pilot for 30 years. I am 48 and home bound due to health issues. It’s easy to get depressed in my condition. However, your videos are really lifting my spirit. Thank you!
Your talent at storytelling makes these so enjoyable to watch. I only have a PPL but this is the kind of stuff I always dreamed of when I started my training.
Adjourning to a pub to confide in a British colleague after a long flight is amazing. Fantastic footage as always Paul!
I feel like I had a seat at the table eating fish n chips and was part of the conversation. Thank you Paul for this content and introducing Capt Chris to those of us that don't follow him on IG. Cheers to more adventures.
Love that perspective. 🤙🏻
Just a little hint: Don't explain why you didn't film your vacation! No need to justify, vacation and family time are more than valid reasons for you to not make content. When you post the next video, we'll be here waiting. Greetings from a European colleague 🙂
Good point! Appreciate you!
As a long-time fan, I can honestly say your content is great and getting even better!!
Love this, Captain Chris should have his own YT Channel!
I would if I had the spare time.
another airline employee here- just wanted to say how impressed I am by the number of shots and quality editing you have done to tell a story. I know how dang difficult it is, especially when you're working and rushing through airports, and I have to say your video not only inspires me, but makes me not want to give up on my YT journey. Quick q- do you carry around a full sized tripod? again thank you for the great content, I can definitely see how much work you put into your videos ✈
I don’t generally carry a full tripod unless I know I’m going to use it, like when I recorded the interview with Captain Chris.
Good morning Paul, this is Rodrigo, we met a few times at EWR, looking forward to this video.
Thanks for your great work.
Yes! Great to hear from you!
Just a brilliant video - thank you for the inspiration!
I have been waiting for this since you posted it on Instagram. ❤❤❤
The way you narrate these makes all the difference! I really love your videos.
I appreciate that!
Always on the move Captain, it’s absolutely fascinating watching your content! Very well put together. Thanks for always taking us along the ride!!
I absolutely love your content. I am DEN based FA for United and I am pretty junior. I just started flying last year as a second career! Your vlogs make me remember to have fun and be my authentic self, so thank you!
Amazing. 💙
Nice to see you back.
Man, what an immeasurable conversation! Very good to see the connections that the world of aviation can bring, as always an excellent video!
Absolutely love this. Two interesting guys having a chat. I also love that flight into Newark.
As someone from Ireland living in the US, please do a VLOG on Shannon. There's so much to see around there, I know people in County Clare and would gladly connect you with them.
Paul, I recently found your channel and have spent countless hours watching your vlogs. I am addicted. You seem to be a really genuine person who would be fun to fly with. I love how you spend your layovers and how you include your crews on the outings. Them wanting to go with you speaks volumes. I really enjoyed this one! You are a guy that it would be a pleasure to sit down and talk over drinks. Keep up the fantastic job!
What a great video and some great discussion ... Two absolute legends on social media ... and two genuinely nice guys that you hope will fly you somewhere and you get the chance to shake their hand at the end of the flight ... Thank you !
So inspiring…. Thank you captain!
Excellent as usual!
Really high production quality on this one, loving the longer video aswell!!
Great conversation with Capt. Chris, Paul. Your videos continue to impress me (and the general/flying public!), and I’m sure inspire many. Also, your PA announcements with the iconic 76 cockpit sound still give me chills. ❤🔥👌🏼✈️🛬
It is sooo amazingly beautiful to listen to you chatting away in this pub. So many truths, so many stories untold...
Thanks for the awesome video. Looking forward to more!
Always a pleasure watching your videos, Sr. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Paul, great to see another great video! Always appreciate the insight that you’re able to provide. I wanted to let you know how much of an inspiration you have been to me! I will actually be going to St.Paul for my commercial rating at the end of June. Content like yours is what has kept me going chasing the dream! Thanks again!
Your videos always put a smile on my face Paul!
What a great video! I enjoyed your little chat with captain Chris so much! It was very inspiring. The storytelling was also great! Keep it up!
what an amazing video and experiences from you guys to hear as an aspiring pilot!
Love your content! Informative, interesting, and inspiring. Keep up the great work!
Quick coffee tip: if you have your caffeine 60 to 90 minutes after waking up, your less likely to have a caffeine crash later in the day.
Also, your first 60-90 minutes of your day will suck!!! 😂
@@nzmarty not as much as the caffeine crash at 2pm.
@@JD96893 not something I experience
@@nzmarty if you load up on caffeine all day you can basically avoid it. When you wake up there is still a lot of adenosine in your brain which makes you sleepy, if you have caffeine, which blocks adenosine receptors, that adenosine stays around and can build up until the caffeine decays. Then you get a shit load adenosine 5 hours later. I would say delayed gratification is probably better that getting coffee right away after waking up. But you could just have decaf coffee (or a non caffeinated hot beverage) and then normal coffee later. Or wake up a bit earlier and have a slow morning. That short time of sleepiness right after waking up is important too, ideally you should wake up and spend a few minutes in bed before becoming active.
@@JD96893 thanks for mansplaining coffee to me. I bet you're fun at parties!!
Paul, sincere thanks from a very happy Scotsman, your channel brings me such joy!
Keep up the good work. ✈️🏴
Adore Captain Chris!
Fantastic video and a great conversation with Captain Chris. Really enjoyed.
So happy to log in and see a new video from you! I really enjoy your content. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
You are so welcome!
I wanna be like you when I grow up!! Love ALL your content! Blue skies...
Lovely video, Captain.
I spent my £150,000 in 2011 to get my frozen ATPL, I then waited over 10 years to land my first job flying passenger Jets, no matter how long the wait just BELIEVE, it will ALL BE WORTH IT!!!! ✈️✈️❤️❤️❤️
Love this.
Really enjoyed your conversation with Captain Chris!
It is something with London, that makes you go back. I have been there many times and keep returning as well. It is expensive, but still.
It is also a city that can attract people with different interests, can do completely different things and have a good time.
“be nice” great advice!
Great vid Paul!!
Love your videos man. The editing feels like I’m watching a high production program! Well done.
Thank you, Paul for giving us such a wonderful insight to your life as a pilot. It really gives me motivation to become a pilot when when I see the beautiful experiences you have (besides the fact that I love flying)! I took my discovery flight yesterday and I loved every second of it! Thanks for inspiring me and many others to become pilots.
That’s so good to hear!
Tks for share. It was amazing.
Great video! I look at every jet that flies overhead and often think about how challengingly rewarding a career in aviation would be!
Always love watching your videos
One more thing I forgot to add. You as a person are so inspirational. You have the ability to motivate people. I love what you said. " Being the best version of yourself" Grest piece of advice. And just as you are proud of us, we too are proud of you, who you are. Stay the way you are! And you are so right; BELIEVE!!
Nicely produced video, Paul! Love your content and passion for aviation!
Many thanks!
Gosh your videos are just SO good. Positive, inspiring, and full of great content. Also love the outtakes!
Thanks so much!!
Next year I'll try the ENAC exam to have the luck to attend to the all-paid public airline pilot training here in France. Will be tough yet I'm still fighting more than ever and this thanks to you and people like Chris. You're giving hope to thousands of teens worldwide like me and you gather us around aviation, hope and all the passion we share for this wonderful industry. So thanks for the video and the talk with Chris, it was amazing and just continue to make us dream cap :)
Always very professional production love the content!!
Much appreciated!
I needed this positivity today. Thank you.
So glad!
Love it! BELIEVE!!!
Yes! Thank you!
Needed that message before the bloopers. Great vid!
Glad to hear it!
You keep it getting better each time. Best wishes.
Thank you very much!
I’m glad that highway entry ramp plane spotting shot worked out! Great collab and great vlog! Keep inspiring us future pilots!
Me too. 😂
As always very interesting and enjoyable. Like the new "hair"!...looks sharp!!
Great video! Loved the positive messages!
I think a video based on your personal thoughts on managing difficult situations in life would be awesome! You have a lot of people that look up to you, including me! It would make it interpersonal and give us a good feel to how you handle things (on or off the aircraft) I’m thinking more like personal matters such as maybe, loss, relationships, just something in the realm of that! Either way, another great video! 😊
Yea me too....... that was awesome!
Thank you Paul God bless
That was an awesome video with captain Chris and you 👍👍👍👏
thank you so much for this I'm 27 currently looking to become a pilot, this video gave me so much inspiration
Love this
Cracking video. Much admiration and appreciation from a fellow aviator ❤️✈️
Being a pilot is so very rewarding and many who are working through their journey using mainly creativity and learning how to live as cheaply as possible. I started my journey when I was in my late 30s and am still doing my main career. Flight lessons are crazy expensive, solo time as a rental is also crazy expensive but its worth it. $200/hr for the plane, plus $60/hr for the CFI.
Can't help but feel good when I watch your videos.
Glad to hear that! ✈️
Great video!!
Thanks and was waiting for the new video... Kai
such wholesome contents and people!
After a long day at work as a lawyer - your video is the perfect relaxation. Keep up the great videos and… believe!
I appreciate that!

Great vlog. Really enjoyed listening to you and Captain Chris. Richmond is a great place to visit. Started watching Ted Lasso as a friend’s daughter was in an episode. Great show. Safe travels !
Awesome, thank you!
Another cool video. Makes me think it is almost time for another return visit to England (York). 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great video, thank you 😊
Love your bloopers! Also, we'll be doing the Ted Lasso tour at the end of June. Really looking forward to that.
Success isn't about wins or losses but rather being the best version of yourself - @ My Layover life ( Paul) well said ❤- Sir!
Thank you!
