It could be like an Obi-Wan scenario, where she's not inherently force sensitive. Obi barely had a high enough of an mcount to even be accepted into the order as a youngling. It was only through his dedication and focus that he became as a in tune with the force as he did. And Sabine is a good example of anybody can be it's just you need to actually try/be trained. I feel like a lot of people overlook that with Obi-Wan whenever new characters wind up being force sensitive. That's just my opinion though :)

Ventress lied about Omega not being force sensitive. She could tell she waa but also how attached she is to her brothers and didn't want to rip Omega away from her family like she was or force Omega into a difficult choice. She never admitted it but she was implying it to Hunter without coming out and saying it.

The point this episode is driving is that what's special about Omega isn't Force sensitivity. That's irrelevant. The point is that she's special enough Force-related for the Emperor's purposes.

What matters is not how high her M-Count his, what matters is that her M-Count is the same as Jango Fett (quote from episode 3 : "M-count transfer with no degradation from the specimen"). That means that studying Omega is the key to understand how to clone force sensitive people, wich was impossible until now.

Indeed this. Ventress is working on the assumption that she is wanted for her force potential and powers, but Palpatine isn't after that, so they are working with the wrong information, if they knew what Palpatine truly wanted, they might be able to figure out the reason, the tests were indeed a waste of time because it wasn't what was required to figure out the reason the Empire is after her.

    • @donaldwatson7698
      @donaldwatson7698 2 місяці тому +4

I think it's a bit more involved than that. "The specimen" in this case is not Jango Fett. The specimen is quite likely a sample from an imprisoned, or held-in-stasis Jedi (see the miniseries "Kenobi" for the stasis explanation). Remember they've been hinting that there are others that aren't clones being kept in a maximum security level of Mount Tantis. So the explanation is possibly that a blood sample with a high M-count (Jedi) can be merged (the lab scenes with blood dropping into other blood) with Omega's blood with no loss of M-count. In essence, create a clone of Darth Sidious but altered slightly to produce her DNA for blood, and they can drain the old body for it's M-count and "seed" the clone's blood with it. Now you have a fully functioning cloned emperor. I do wonder if this means at some point that Omega, willingly or not, will receive someone's high midichlorians and become a force sensitive as a result.

There was a comic series where Ventress appeared to be killed. But, she went into a force healing trance until she could revive. Perhaps she went into a trance when Dooku zapped her. Obi-Wan and Vos put her into stasis for 4 months, then buried her in the waters of her home. Those waters are magical and healing, so she eventually can revive. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm sure somebody has already mentioned this, but shortly after this episode aired, LucasFilm put out a statement that Ventress' survival will be explained in a "future project." What that means is anybody's guess. My best bet is that an arc in the next Tales of the Jedi season could cover the events of Dark Disciple and immediately after. What we DO know is that LucasFilm has made it very clear ever since the trailer that revealed Ventress, that the canonicity of Dark Disciple will NOT be messed with. They acknowledge how important and how much of a fan-favorite that novel is. I'm very excited to see what that "future project" ends up being, because Asajj is one of my favorite characters from both Clone Wars series.

That moment at the end, when Ventress takes Crosshair’s hand,
is a neat visual parallel to Season 1.
They escape Tipoca City, Crosshair saves Omega drowning,
they get to the landing platform,
But Crosshair refuses to go with them, Electing to stay behind in the middle of the ocean.
    In this episode,
After Ventress saves Omega from drowning,
And is standing on the capsized ship,
Its Crosshair who offers the hand he refused to take before.
He knows what she’s done, what he’s done, and I think Ventress senses they’re one in the same.

Can we talk about Ventress using a single lightsaber modelled after Dooku's, along with using his initial starting position for duels, AND if i'm not mistaken it LOOKS like she's probably even using the same form as Dooku, Form 2.
Its really interesting they made the decision for her to take after her former master who at the end of their relationship betrayed her and attempted to kill her several times.
She must also be rather powerful as far as Force Wielders go at this point too, being able to absolutely body Wrecker, Hunter and Crosshair at this point, and having been regularly dueling Anakin and Obi-Wan probably a decade ago by now, and only gotten stronger since then. In fact I'd say between her and Ahsoka she's probably the stronger of the two, and perhaps one of the only Force Wielders in the Galaxy besides Yoda at this point who is experienced and knowledgeable enough about the Force to probably be on the level of a Jedi Master.

I would take a 50 episode Ventress series in a heartbeat. After the badassery of this episode, I'm not as concerned about the lore as I thought I was going to be.
As a theory, after Order 66, the light side of the Force might be seeking to balance itself again. Many people could use "awakenings" to discover their abilities. Omega has always seemingly had an affinity to communicate with animals.

    • @donaldwatson7698

I cracked up seeing Crosshair passed out in that scene🤣🤣🤣 but anyway TBB story in regards to omega & m-count, I think her being a 1st generation UN-altered jango clone, then during fetal growth, naturally mutated into the female gender, is probably why omega is able to "accept" a "transfusion" with midichlorian rich blood. Instead of giving omega growth acceleration or an inhibitor chip, Nala Se enhanced Omega's natural female mutation by making her more sensitive/intuitive than the other clones. That's probably what made or gave omega the possibility of tapping into & wield the force. So now she needs training & have a chance to protect herself in the future, especially IF TBB all die in the end ~ which i hope no more clones die😖🤞🤞
This part of the story mirrors the mandalorian, when Din had to give Grogu to Luke for jedi training ~ so there's a possibility omega might end up choosing to train with ventress by the finale. And maybe that's how we get to the next animated series, it'll feature ventress & omega + appearances by all other characters who will survive TBB series.
So now that we know Asajj Ventress is the harbinger + she warned them to leave bcoz they're not as safe as they think, maybe next episode will be when CX2 finds Pabu. All that meditating was probably sensed by palpatine & he orders imperial forces to go investigate what's going on in specific coordinates he gathers from the force. If the empire destroys pabu & recapture omega, maybe future clone survivors can go inhabit & colonize Idaflor, the planet Hunter finds and mentions as "a good place to hide" back in s1.

The answers to the questions about Omega and Grogu are simple.
Do clones "Usually" have a M Count? No, that's part of why they're effective against Jedi.
Does Omega have an M count? Yes, She's the ONLY one as far as we know. We can assume Bobba has one because he's the only un-Altered clone. Obviously, Omega was altered to be female.
The Blood of ALL the other clones when tested, resulted in a lower M Count after the test. Omega's test didn't say she had a "High" M Count. The result revealed that her blood doesn't LOWER the M Count.
    *Flash-forward to Grogu...
Grogu; OBVIOUSLY, has a higher M Count than Omega.
The Empire (or Gideon Specifically) would want to transfer the Grogu M Count to a clone body that doesn't lower the count.

I feel something more could be at play with Omega. Even if she herself isn't force sensitive, she seems to have more differences from other clones other than being a girl. Changing the sex of the clone shouldn't change the hair color. And Palpatine's blood didn't seem to transfer a sufficient M-count in the rest of the clones. So maybe Omega could have some Palps DNA mixed in? Probably not, but it's a possibility.

We already know that Omega has a high M-count. Nala Se's computer flagged Omega's blood for that very purpose. We shouldn't overlook the fact that Nala Se was systematically destroying Omega's blood; she knows the truth about Omega's blood.
We're due for another two episode drop next week: Identity Crisis and Point of No Return. Something tells me we're going to see Omega wondering if she's Force sensitive or not. The Bad Batch is going to have to make a hard choice, one that they might not go through with until the series conclusion, but I think we're going to see Omega going with Ventress while her brothers go somewhere else. This series, like all the other stories taking place at this time, is paving the way for the Rebellion, and other contingencies in case the one in progress fails--Saw Gerrera, Luthan Rael, and Obi-Wan are already lying in wait at this point in time.
Ventress warned the Bad Batch that the Empire is more dangerous than they know. The Bad Batch, like all the other Rebellion cells, is likely going to have to go into hiding until the time is right after they make their move on Tantiss.
At least we now know why the Empire was keeping Jedi corpses at Fortress Inquisitorius; they are harvesting Jedi blood for cloning.

That's not what the computer was looking for. They were adding Palpatine's blood to the samples and her blood was the only one that received it without degradation or loss of potency. We have no indication that she herself has a high count.

I dont think so. I think she has A M COUNT. not a high one, just a very small one. But she is the first clone to inherit the same m count as jango had, therefor proofing you can clone m count at all. And therefor she is the key to cloning palpatine-

@@kingofrivia1248 That's what I'm saying but where are you getting that it's Jango's blood they are using in the tests? To be fair, they haven't said who's blood is being added in the machines during the tests but the point is to make sure that Palpatine can have a body for himself that he can transfer himself into should he die without losing his power.

i think it's more that she has the ability to receive transplanted midichlorians without them dying. the empire already HAS plenty of midichlorians to go around, palps is looking for a way to transplant those midichlorians into a new cloned body of himself so he can live forever and keep his power. something about her dna could unlock a way for palps to do that.

@@xiamei140 Correct, that is why the Empire wants her so badly. It's not about her personal M Count level though I am curious what that is considering Ventress' words. But that's just for me. It doesn't impact the story we know so far as far as we are aware right now.

This may be a stretch but I’m wondering if Omega well end up going with Ventress at the end of all this. I don’t think it’s a high chance but it’s something I’m going to keep in the back of my mind. It’s probably won’t happen but I thought I would get that thought out there.

IMO only a person with a high M count will have the non degradable blood. In Star Wars, not the real world like O positive blood.

I could be Ventress hiding the fact that Omega mightve been the one to summon the Kraken creature. But it could be Ventress still dealing with her own things. She seems like she stepped away for the dark side mostly and is training in the light side so it could be that her powers got out of control there.
I think Ventress thinks Omega is definitely potentially force sensitive but to train her to be able to develop her powers means taking her away and she knows Omega wont.
After this episode i want Ventress to join the Bad Batch

Crosshair was too quick to change his armor design. Should have kept it. Like the Empire cares.

Okay I liked Ventress in this episode, which I did not think I would. I did not like her in Clone Wars.
