Yes, I have seen the 3 (so far) videos regarding brits buying online without coming over, perfectly good advise but ymmv. Keep a log burner with water jacket to run the radiators, as the electric isnt always reliable, if using a pump, make sure you get a smallish power station with UPS capability to run it or the water will boil off very quickly in a power cut. Any make up a fresh water storage system too as water isnt reliable either. Our village has similar roads, but we are on the flat so my little Skoda Fabia can manage quite well. ENJOY!!
great see you house tour on the land lot to do keep up the great vid on the channel thanks for update on the house and place lot room in the house keep up the vid you do on channel thanks for share
Well done you! Can I add a wee bit of advice? Just remember that many areas in BG have power cuts - especially in winter when the system can't cope so well. If you only have electric heaters, it can be awful. Good idea to keep at least 1 wood burner - especially a large petchka where you can cook food and heat water. I also read last week that the inverters for hot and cold, don't work so well when the temps drop - so I thought it worth mentioning - although you've probably heard some of these stories already. We have had two houses in Bg and about to work on our 3rd place and burning wood has saved us more than once :) All the best on your journey :)
Looks great, that scenery is incredible. Will be really interested to see what the weather is like over the course of the year, how cold it gets in the winter and how much snow etc. interested to see more of the roads as well. Enjoying the vids.
Weather now more like uk gray and rain but not all the time the mountains are having snow now hopefully we might see snow Fri as we are going to city Vratsa in the mountains
Hi you guys 👋 what a great house and we're so pleased you're not turning it into a boxy house if you know what we mean it's got a great feel to it and you seem happy it's great to see! Look forward to the progress good luck with everything keep happy!!
I like the looks of your house, and the floor mats etc. Looks to be sound and has good potential. I like the traditional wood burners. Having the A/C as a backup is a good idea. Not keen on the perspex windows in the entrance.Good for insulation, but not good for seeing outside. Be patient. Don't try and do too much too soon. Prioritise what you need for the winter. You only need a couple of rooms for now. As you say, it is livable! I hope it goes well for you.
Well chuffed for you both. As for the roads, how about a Bulgarian Tank? lol. But seriously, you've got a decent bit of land there. Plenty of scope. Maybe you could use a good section of it to grow your own food?
My Paul love the house tour you have got so much work to do you look more happy and relaxed what is the weather like there and what is the time it's so peaceful to
Yes it's all good here lots of work but it's basic stuff iam just impatient and want it done now 😅 We will have house 1 finished in a few weeks just rebuilding the shower room and painting house at the moment
Good luck with your new place under the sun Which village is that (I’m in the market for something similar, and you said that there are few empty houses across the road)
Hi there! I use to live in UK for seven years and get back to Bulgaria 2020. I hope you and your family will be happy here ,but just to let you know that, from what I saw , you will need at least 100K levs to fix all this by yourself or if you need somebody to do all the job , at least 150K levs.My advise is ,do it by yourself or you will regret it ,at some point. You will love the city of Montana is not far away from you and you can get everything there ,for a good price to fix your house. If you need any advice or help for something ,I live not that far, near town of Belogradchik in village aswell.Cheers
@gerganapashova7562 we won't need anything like that we are not building a new english home just a Bulgarian cottage 🤣🤣 Already nearly finished one house only spent £4k so far thats all included all new white goods and builders fees
@Pickle.Shorts there's loads on Facebook Yulson homes on UA-cam good I used Bulgaria direct and I also have joined them selling houses but they only last a day so no time to post on here
If you mean am I rich no 😂 I sold a Overland truck for good money and praying my crypto investments pay off in future 😂 Wife works online I retired this year early and live off her
